Staging Connections Collaborates with Hilton Brisbane to Create State of the Art Ballroom

Staging Connections and Hilton Brisbane have announced the completion of a major upgrade of the Grand Ballroom’s audio visual systems.

Highlighting the successful partnership, Director of Venues, Terry Oomens was thrilled to announce the revamp of the premier event venue, cementing the Grand Ballroom as a leading event space in Brisbane.

At the heart of the upgrade is the transition to a cutting edge digital fibre infrastructure, which now offers a superior level of brightness and clarity of images via ultra-sharp projection. The brand new audio visual infrastructure complements the recently installed full high definition Christie projectors and 16:9 motorised screens. In addition, the Grand Ballroom’s lighting system has been centralised, with the installation of a world class touch screen control pad to manage the recently added 48 computerised ceiling fixtures and digital audio consoles.

The upgrades will reduce the environmental footprint and the complexity of the technology within the event space; with Staging Connections implementing efficient event solutions that deliver an enhanced client experience.

The Grand Ballroom is located on level 5 of the Elizabeth Street hotel, and offers one of the largest event spaces in the Brisbane CBD accommodating up 600 guests for banquets and 1100 guests for cocktail events.
