Staging Connections’ Executives to Ride on Behalf of Worthy Cause

unnamed (1)A number of Staging Connections Executive team will be hitting the road as part of the 1200kms for kids – Charity Bike Ride on behalf of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and the Children’s Health Foundation.

Tony Chamberlain, Managing Director, Karsten Richert, Regional General Manager – Northern Region and Tim Morgan, General Manager – NSW and Canberra, have volunteered to take a ride and raise much needed funds for sick children across Australia who are helped by the great work of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.

The ride along the east coast of Australia will kick off at the Humpty Dumpty Foundation headquarters in Sydney’s north on 13 October 2014, and will take them through various key towns along their seven day route to The Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane. The organisation is the collective brain child of Gary Richardson and Trevelyan Bale, two friends who were looking for a way to give back to the hospitals that had helped their sick children.

In the past seven years since they first took to the roadway on their inaugural ride, the team and their support crew have worked to raise over $1million for both the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and the Children’s Health Foundation. For this year’s event the 47 registered riders have set their fund raising target at $500,000. The funds from this year’s ride will be dedicated to the all-important research department at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Brisbane along with an investment in the tireless work of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, providing much needed medical equipment to hospitals throughout Australia.

Tony Chamberlain, Managing Director explains the reason he chose to get involved, “It’s undeniable that there is a desperate need for the endless work that both the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and the Children’s Health Foundation do, and it often goes unnoticed and most importantly unfunded,” Mr Chamberlain said.

“Karsten,  Tim and I jumped at the opportunity to be involved in the 1200km for kids – Charity Bike Ride. With a great deal of help from our teams and our networks, we’re proud to be well on our way to raising much needed funds to aid this charities impressive work. Having raised over $25,000 for last year’s ride, we hope to beat our efforts particularly since we have an extra Staging Connections rider joining us – Tim Morgan.

“It’s our great pleasure to support such a wonderful charity, the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, on a national level through a number of great initiatives. We’re proud to be donating our time (and legs) again this year for such a wonderful cause.” added Mr Chamberlain.
