A favourite with television audiences around country thanks to his heady Irish accent and upfront, honest and at times outspoken commentary, Colin Fassnidge joins the line up of star guests at the 2017 Argyle Diamonds Ord Valley Muster.
Dublin born Fassnidge is a two-hatted, nose to tail chef and restaurateur at 4Fourteen. He was Executive Chef at Four in Hand Dining Room from October 2005 to January 2016 that saw him elevate the dining room in a pub to become a ‘foodie destination’.
He has been a popular guest judge on MKR (My Kitchen Rules) for the show’s past four seasons, released his first cook-book Four Kitchens in 2014 and was crowned GQ Magazine’s Chef of the Year in 2013.
Fassnidge will showcase dishes using local ingredients at the Kimberley Kitchen presented by Kununurra Country Club Resort that will be held at Celebrity Tree Park on the banks of Lake Kununurra on Wednesday, 24 May 2017. Guests will be invited to sample his dishes after watching him create them on stage, which is flanked by two big screens.
“I’ve heard about the Ord Valley Muster from some chef mates of mine and can’t wait to get there,” Fassnidge said.
“I’m looking forward to using the local produce and also being a part of the event – everyone I’ve spoken to just loves it.
“My family and I have wanted to go to the Kimberley for the longest time, so they’re coming with me,” the 41-year-old father of two said.
The Durack Homestead Dinner will be hosted Fassnidge at the historic property on Thursday, 25 May 2017. Tickets will go on sale 9am, Monday 21 November –note there is no ballot this year for the event – first in best dressed.
