Does your child have a penchant for unique architectural design, sleek interiors and contemporary living?

Or do they just know what makes a great holiday home based on how good the pool is for making a big splash or whether the games room is the best place to become the next ping pong champ?
The Stayz Holiday Home of the Year Awards are back for 2019 to find Australia’s best holiday homes, and for the first time ever, Stayz is appointing a junior judge aged between 6 to 12 to help decide the winners.
The junior judge will join interiors royalty Wendy Moore, GM of Foxtel’s Lifestyle Channels and interiors expert, who is returning to her role as a guest judge. This year the judging panel will be uncovering the top holiday homes across four different categories including: Family Friendly, Unique, Design and Pet Friendly.
Wendy is excited to have a mini assistant this year, “Looking at beautifully designed homes with unique features and imagining my next holiday is my favourite part of being a judge. But it’s a big responsibility to pick the absolute best and with so many choices, I’m really looking forward to some fresh eyes to help!” Says Wendy.
To enter the competition, prospective junior judges simply need to upload a 30-second video showing why they would make a great Stayz junior judge via stayzjuniorjudge.com.au. The winner will get the chance to meet Wendy and take part in the judging of the awards. They will also score their family a $2,000 travel voucher to use on a holiday adventure at a Stayz property in Australia. Summer family holiday sorted.
“We know Aussie travellers are looking to create memorable and exciting experiences when staying at our holiday homes so this year we wanted to get a different perspective on what makes an ideal holiday home – through the eyes of a child. Research tells us that 43% of Aussie kids are influencing where their families go on their next holiday, so it is important that we have one of the most influential decision makers, kids, involved in this years awards. ” says Simone Scoppa, Head of PR for Stayz.
The most creative entry will win, so Stayz has shared some top tips on what it’s looking for  in a junior judge:
  • Show us your personality and why you think you would make a great judge
  • Tell us about why you love travel or even share a short story of your favourite holiday home experience
  • Have fun with your entry!
The competition closes 11 September at 11:59pm so head to stayzjuniorjudge.com.au to enter.
