Emporium Hotel South Bank is delighted to launch its new high tea offering.  Available exclusively at Belle Époque, the Hotel’s opulent Parisian inspired Patisserie and Champagne Bar, the dining experience is truly unique for Brisbane.  Created by the Hotel’s talented Executive Sous Chef and Pastry Connoisseur, Alexandra Liddle, each item on the menu is handcrafted and intricately designed in-house.

To celebrate both the launch of high teas and the Hotel’s new partnership with The Australian Ballet, the current menu is in theme with the national ballet company’s Brisbane season of Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland.

Charles Martin, General Manager, Emporium Hotel South Bank, said,

“High tea at Emporium Hotel South Bank has raised the bar in sophistication, elegance and quality.  Alexandra has delivered a truly bespoke menu that showcases her passion and the Hotel team’s dedication to innovation.  This will be a signature offering for Brisbane.  We are very proud to launch this to the market and add this to the Hotel’s list of exquisite experiences available to guests and the public alike.”

Alexandra Liddle, Executive Sous Chef and Pastry Connoisseur, said,

“Guests will discover a signature twist on our high tea classics, such as the purple smoked salmon cornets, honeyed fig cheesecake and lemon and pine nut fan.  They will enjoy new dimensions of our beautiful high tea menu, including scones and tarts, and treats, such as the decadent ‘Queen of Tarts’, made with Valrhone Tainori, a 64% dark chocolate from the Dominican Republic.”

A range of specialty menu options are available at the Hotel to cater for dietary requirements, including gluten free, vegan, nut free and vegetarians.  The dedicated dietary menus have been designed to represent the original high tea menu as closely as possible to ensure that every guest receives the same level of bespoke service.

In addition, the Hotel’s in-house cake ordering service is now also available.  Customers can now organise delivery of exquisite creations by Executive Sous Chef and Pastry Connoisseur, Alexandra Liddle, for those extra special occasions.

Emporium Hotel South Bank’s high teas are available now from Belle Époque from 11:30am daily. Reservations are not essential but are encouraged.  For reservations of eight people or more, please contact the Hotel in advance.
