Stokehouse for Regional Flavours

Stokehouse will offer food lovers an irresistible taste of its contemporary Mediterranean menu, fresh Queensland produce and decadent desserts during South Bank’s Regional Flavours food adventure.

Stoke Regional FlavoursStokehouse chefs will take to the River Quay green on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st July with live cooking demonstrations and delicious tasting plates, providing revellers the opportunity to indulge in the restaurant’s renowned cuisine and spectacular riverside setting.

Set apart from the bustle of the main festival precinct, guests will be able to relax and enjoy the elegant waterfront setting and superb city views of River Quay, while sampling some of the restaurants’ best dishes.

Stokehouse Head Chef Richard Ousby will entertain gourmands on the green from 3.45 – 4.30pm on Saturday, 20 July. Leading the Stokehouse culinary team since May this year, Richard has brought many years’ industry experience, award-winning talent and a true passion for flavours and ingredients to the dining destination.

For Regional Flavours Richard will demonstrate modern barbeque techniques, giving the beloved Aussie barbeque a gourmet edge and making the most of gorgeous local produce and char-grill favourites, such as spatchcock, quail, hanger steak, prawns and more.

He will also prepare delectable accompaniments including chermoula, salsa verde, truffle butter and char-grilled vegetables like whole baby onions, broccolini and cabbage with truffle.

From savoury favourites to sweet indulgences, Stokehouse Pastry Chef Kirsty Mundt will teach the art of the perfect afternoon tea on Sunday, 21 July from 2.45 – 3.30pm.

Kirsty will demonstrate the much-loved macaron and, given her several years’ experience in pastry at some of Brisbane’s leading restaurants and a stint in the kitchen of dessert king Adriano Zumbo, guests will learn to create these divine and dainty treats without flaw.

With a unique, fresh Queensland flavour, elegant menu and expert chefs, Stokehouse will provide an unforgettable experience for food enthusiasts at Regional Flavours.
