Kangaroo Island-based– luxury accommodation provider Stowaway unveils a new luxurious and authentically Australian accommodation experience open for bookings from April 3. Two purpose built lodges, The Nest and The Sleepy Hollow are situated amid native bushland in a secluded corner of the island’s north coast. Find it a short drive from the tranquil setting of Stokes Bay, surrounded by Lathami Conservation Park’s abundant native flora and fauna.

Owners Carly and Adam Bussenschutt have explored just about every inch of Kangaroo Island. “My favourite walk has to be down into the Lathami Conservation Park, mainly because it is home to the Glossy Black Cockatoo,” owner Carly Bussenschutt says. “I still get goosebumps when I see these endangered birds flying across the ravine. If you keep your eyes peeled, you might even find yourself the ultimate souvenir: a Glossy Black tail feather!”

Carly grew up on a farm on the outskirts of Parndana and is a third-generation islander. Carly and Adam are fun, enthusiastic, salt of the earth types and generous hosts. They will go that extra mile to ensure a guest’s stay exceeds expectations – nothing is too much trouble.

The Stowaway Kangaroo Island concept is an extension of Carly and Adam’s passion for exceptional travel experiences and a way for them to share their love of Kangaroo Island and authentic Australian hospitality.

Stylish, modern, self-contained, contemporary design ensures visitors will feel at one with nature without compromising on luxury. Local builders Kuchel Building Contractors have been engaged to complete the bespoke development. The Stowaways boast uninterrupted panoramic views of the ocean and headland across native bushland and rolling hills.

Stowaway combines comfort and proximity to nature, creating an adult-only getaway for couples to focus on what is important – each other – and enjoy all that Kangaroo Island has to offer. Locally-sourced food and drink packages include fresh regional produce and drinks selections from local vineyard Dudley Wines and gin from Kangaroo Island Spirits.

Each stowaway includes a king-sized bed, full en-suite complete with a sauna, double fireplace, full cook’s kitchen, an outdoor spa, massage packages and more.

It’s never been easier to escape to the island with new Qantas direct route to Kingscote from Adelaide and Melbourne, REX regional fares, or jump on board the Sealink daily ferry service departing Cape Jervis.

Stowaway can provide transfers to and from the airport, but recommend making the most out of your stay and driving or hiring a car to navigate the island.

Stowaway delivers indulgence in a private paradise to explore Kangaroo Island’s renowned wildlife and epicurean experiences.

Guests who book a minimum two-night stay in April 2018 can enjoy the luxury accommodation for special launch price of $450 per night (30% discount).
