STR Global releases preliminary October 2013 data for London

Based on STR Global daily data from October, preliminary data for London includes:

• increases in supply (+1.7 percent) and demand (+2.4 percent);
• a +0.8-percent increase in occupancy to 88.3 percent;
• a +8.0-percent increase in average daily rate to GBP153.22; and
• a +8.9-percent rise in revenue per available room to GBP135.35.
• Occupancy exceeded 85 percent for 25 of the 31 days this month.

“ADR remains strong for London in October, matching the level of an already fabulous September”, said Elizabeth Winkle, managing director of STR Global. “Coupled with one of the highest occupancy rates for October within the last two decades, the first month of quarter four achieves the highest RevPAR level in 2013 so far”.

STR Global will release final October 2013 results in two weeks. Revised 2013 forecasts will be available around the same time.
