Swire Travel uses Sabre to Connect Global Travel Services

Swire Travel, one of Hong Kong’s largest travel management companies, with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei and Hsinchu, has selected a series of solutions from Sabre Corporation, the leading technology provider to the global travel industry, to power connected global travel services.

Swire Travel, a member of GlobalStar Travel Management, has established an extensive global partner network to plan, purchase and manage international travel for customers. Adopting Sabre PowerSuite, Swire Travel will automate and connect front, mid and back office workflows, integrating business processes and information to drive customer management, service delivery and reporting with the flexibility and consistency to support extensive international travel.

“Demand from Asian businesses for more complex, multi-market, business travel is on the rise and we’re increasingly seeing local travel management companies operate international services, responding to today’s highly mobile, highly global, corporate travellers,” said Todd Arthur, newly appointed vice president of sales and market development for Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific. “Using new technologies to create and access a single centralised source of data – ranging from policy requirements and travel preferences to ticketing and invoicing information – we can help travel managers navigate this new complexity and deliver a more relevant, seamless, travel experience.”

Sabre PowerSuite also automates financial management processes providing access to real-time information, for example Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, to enable faster business decision making.

“The enhanced suite of Sabre solutions we’re using today gives us the breadth and sophistication needed not only to enhance customer service delivery but, in addition, automate internal processes to create efficiencies, driving profitability and freeing up agent time for additional revenue generating tasks. We’re also working with Sabre to open up new revenue channels – such as the online leisure booking segment which we’re capturing using Sabre’s white label internet booking engine, WebStart,” commented Andrew Leung, Managing Director of Swire Travel.

The full suite of Sabre solutions that Swire Travel will use includes: Automated Exchanges, PowerSuite, Sabre Profiles, Ticket Express, TripCase, TripPlan and WebStart.
