Swiss-Belhotel Expands Global Hotel Portfolio With Four Properties To Open In Middle East

Swiss-Belhotel International has announced plans to open a further four properties across the Middle East over the next two years as the hospitality management company continues its strong growth across the region.

This year will see the completion of the Swiss-Belhotel Seef in Bahrain and the Swiss-Belinn Ghubrah, Muscat, Oman, while in 2015 the company will be celebrating the opening of the Swiss-Belhotel Riyadh in Saudi Arabia and the Swiss-Belhotel Erbil in Iraq. 

Those properties will expand Swiss-Belhotel International’s Middle East portfolio to six as they join the Swiss-Belhotel Plaza in Kuwait and Qatar’s Swiss-Belhotel Doha. 

Swiss-Belhotel International Chairman and President, Mr Gavin M. Faull, said he was thrilled by the possibilities being explored throughout the Middle East and by the options being offered by the properties to both business and leisure travelers.

Swiss-Belhotel International’s global portfolio currently comprises more than 120 hotels and resorts across Asia and the Middle East, with hotels opening recently in Indonesia, New Zealand and Vietnam. 

“Swiss-Belhotel International is a company that prides itself on its people and on the relationships they develop within the communities they work in,” said Mr Faull. “We are also acutely aware of the need for accessibility which is another reason why we have positioned ourselves at the heart of business in the Middle East.” 

Swiss-Belhotel International will also grow throughout Asia next year. In Indonesia, it recently opened two hotels in Bali Indonesia with 15 more coming in 2013 and 2014.

In China, the hotel management firm will add to its existing three hotels with three more in 2015 while in Vietnam it will open two properties. Moreover, it will open two hotels in the Philippines, one in Makati in 2015 and another in Quezon City in 2016. 

Swiss-Belhotel International has more than 120 hotels, resorts and projects in its global portfolio. Voted one of the world’s top 100 hotel groups in 2013 by HOTELS Magazine, it has a presence in China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman and Saudi Arabia, and is exploring options elsewhere.
