Global hospitality management powerhouse Swiss-Belhotel International recently announced a partnership agreement with Garuda Indonesia, offering frequent flyers of Garuda the chance to earn extra flight miles and redeem their air mileage for a stay at one of Swiss-Belhotel International’s hotels and resorts in Indonesia.

Committed to establishing mutually rewarding relationships with key industry players in local economies, Swiss-Belhotel International’s partnership with the Garuda Frequent Flyer programme is an extension of existing Executive Card, Rewards, Etihad and Sinbad membership programmes.

Swiss-Belhotel’s biggest presence is in Indonesia, where it has been voted the Leading Global Hotel Chain at the Indonesian Travel and Tourism Awards for the past three years and currently operates 39 hotels.

Swiss-Belhotel Chairman and President, Mr Gavin M. Faull, said he was delighted to be further strengthening the company’s presence within Indonesia by partnering with such a prestigious institution.

“One of our guiding principles is to work in partnership with local economies and institutions for mutual benefit. It is this win-win strategy that has been at the cornerstone of our sustainable development as a company and will continue to fuel our growth,” said Mr Faull.

Garuda Frequent Flyer members will enjoy the benefits of free tickets, ticket upgrades, special check-in counters, extra baggage allowance, and access to Garuda Indonesia airport lounges, in addition to being able to redeem their mileage points for a free stay at a Swiss-Belhotel International resort or hotel in Indonesia. In addition, every stay at a participating Swiss-Belhotel International property will earn guests extra flight miles, reducing the cost of their next Garuda journey.

Swiss-Belhotel International’s portfolio currently comprises more than 120 hotels and resorts ranging from two- to five-star brand classifications across Asia and the Middle East. The company was recently recognized in the list of the world’s top 100 hotel groups compiled by hospitality industry publication, HOTELS Magazine.

The flag carrier of Indonesia and now a public company listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange, Garuda Indonesia currently operates 82 aircraft and serves 33 domestic and 18 international destinations in Southeast Asia, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, the Middle East and the Netherlands.
