Asia’s ascending hospitality management company Swiss-Belhotel International has capped a period of expansion with recognition in the list of the world’s top 100 hotel groups compiled by hospitality industry publication, HOTELS Magazine.

Swiss-Belhotel International has achieved 100th place on HOTELS Magazine’s closely watched ‘Hotels 325’ list of the world’s largest hotel operators.

The magazine’s list, published mid 2013, lists Hong Kong-based Swiss-Belhotel International as having almost doubled in size in the last five years to 61 hotels with over 12,000 guest rooms.

The Group’s Chairman and President Gavin Faull, said Swiss-Belhotel International’s growth curve had continued to rise steeply since the list was compiled, with more than 120 hotels, resorts and projects ranging from 2-star to 5-star classifications across Asia, the Pacific, China and the Middle East now open or in the development pipeline.

New Zealander Mr. Faull presides over one of the region’s fastest-growing hotel management groups offering five hospitality brands under its umbrella – from the upscale five-star Grand Swiss-Belhotel, to midscale four-star city and resort brands Swiss-Belhotel and Swiss-Belresort, Swiss-Belresidences, a fully-serviced hospitality offering and the economy, three-star brand Swiss-Belinn.

In Q1 2014, Swiss-Belhotel International will launch Zest Hotels, a two-star budget hotel brand which will see the Swiss-Belhotel International flag fly across the spectrum of hospitality.

Mr. Faull said he was delighted Swiss-Belhotel International had made it onto the list’s top 100 and was confident a year from now, the company would have climbed significantly higher as it continued to roll out its successful strategy of providing quality accommodation in key, high-demand locations.

“We are expanding strategically and sustainably throughout Asia-Pacific,” he said. “If owners and developers are not aware of our brands now, they will be in the near future. Our blend of Swiss efficiency and professionalism and Asian warmth, passion and service-mindedness is winning hearts and minds all over the region and we aren’t planning to rest on our laurels any time soon.”

In the last month alone, Swiss-Belhotel International has opened hotels in Balikapan, Indonesia and Lao Cai, Vietnam and New Zealand, in one of the Southern Hemisphere’s pre-eminent ski destinations in the snow sports and adventure ‘capital’ of Queenstown.
