Swiss-Belhotel International’s ‘One Love’ corporate social responsibility initiative has resulted in over 1,001 packs of blood being donated to needy health organisations across its footprint of properties in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
The highly co-ordinated campaign that involved not only the staff and guests at its hotels across the region, but those in its corporate offices, enabled each country grouping to designate a hospital, non-governmental organisation or charity for the donation.

“We could hardly have hoped for a better response, with scores of people set to benefit from the generosity of so many,” said Swiss-Belhotel International Chairman and President Mr. Gavin M. Faull said. “This activity truly reflects our culture of passion and professionalism.”

In Bali, where the global hotel management company recently opened the Swiss-Belresort Watu Jimbar, Sanur, the chosen charity was the Bali Red Cross where Bali Red Cross Chairman Mr. I Gusti Bagus Alit Putra SH,S.Sos, Msi and Bali Red Cross Secretary Dr. I Gusti Made Lanang Rudiartha MHA attended the event.

“It was a tremendous day and we are very grateful for the support we have received for this initiative,” said Swiss-Belhotel International Bali Area General Manager Mr. Christopher MacLean.

Indonesia is the country where Swiss-Belhotel International has its biggest presence where it operates 39 hotels, with 15 more coming in 2014. The company’s Indonesian portfolio will contain 97 hotels and resorts within two years.

Swiss-Belhotel International will open 20 hotels in total this year. It will extend its range of two- to five-star brands into the Middle East, where the Swiss-Belhotel Seef in Bahrain, Swiss-Belinn Ghubrah Muscat in Oman will open and join the existing Swiss-Belhotel Plaza in Kuwait and Qatar’s Swiss-Belhotel Doha.
