Agents are advised that the Swiss Travel System has upgraded its Trade Corner to provide the industry with a better platform for information, news, offers and online assistance relating to Switzerland’s extensive public transport network.
Re-launched on 1 September, the Trade Corner features a new look and feel, offering greater user experience and more comprehensive content. From the full range of Swiss Travel System product prices and specialised fact sheets to the latest information and deals on Switzerland’s national rail network, there are six main subject categories that serve to assist agents and tour operators with any information on the System.
Switzerland Tourism Director of Australia and New Zealand, Mark Wettstein, says the team has tried and tested this one-stop source and agents can be confident that any of the queries they may have on the extensive Swiss Travel System network will be answered efficiently.
Mark advises agents that a quick once-only registration is necessary to ensure permanent access. Once access is granted, the information at hand can be used freely to assist clients with their Swiss transportation needs or as a source of inspiration to create travel itineraries.
“Australian and New Zealander travellers are already regular users of the Swiss Travel Pass, with a healthy growing number of users each year,” he says. “This year alone to date, we can report a whopping 28% increase in YOY sales from these two markets combined. It’s extremely encouraging to see that more and more travellers are recognising the value provided in the all-inclusive Pass”.
Agents are reminded that the Swiss Travel Pass provides users unlimited access to Switzerland’s public transportation including buses, trains and boats; up to 50% off mountain railways and cable cars; free access to more than 480 museums around the country; and free travel for children under 16 years when accompanied by a guardian using the Pass.
And until 30 November 2015, Trade Corner users can take part in a competition to win three prizes including a Swiss Travel System Caran d’Ache ballpoint pen for third place; a limited edition “Grand Train Tour of Switzerland” original Swatch; or two first class Swiss Travel Passes for 8 days and two nights at the Kurhaus Bergün (including breakfast, aperitif and personal guided tour of hotel).
