SYDNEY’S iconic The Grace Hotel is targeting a bigger share of 2014’s 859,500 Chinese visitors to the city by tailoring accommodation programmes which are a better specific fit for the visitors.http://www.tourismlegal.com.au/

General manager Philip Pratley said that the hotel will have closer links to Tourism Australia as well as the benefits of The Grace’s appointment of Randall Marketing as the hotel’s China-based representatives.

He said, “The combined effect of the two organisations gives us a better understanding of the market’s expectations so we can adapt and develop special schedules accordingly.”

China is already Australia’s second biggest source of tourists with an increase of more than 18 per cent last year.

“The generation of about $6-billion in spending last year led us to gearing our operations to make TGH a firm favourite with Chinese visitors”.

The Grace Hotel is operated by Kuala-Lumpur-based Federal Hotels International, which has almost 50 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and also operates the Federal and Capitol hotels in its home city.

The group’s hotels have diversified programmes which give them wide appeal to leisure and business travellers, meetings and conference organisers, as well as for personal purposes like weddings, honeymoons and anniversaries.
