Australian residential property developer Crown Group last night officially opened Sydney’s newest hotel, SKYE Suites, in the new residential apartment tower, Arc by Crown Group on Kent Street, Sydney.

As the city’s first boutique serviced apartment, SKYE Suites offers a luxury five-star resort experience in the heart of the city and features an ice cave-themed lobby, dreamy indoor swimming pool and excellent gym.

Minister for Tourism, The Hon. Adam John Marshall, MP, together with Crown Group Chairman and Group CEO Iwan Sunito, cut the ribbon to open SKYE Suites Sydney before more than 100 guests and VIPs.

SKYE Suites Sydney has 73 serviced apartments for short-term and long-term-stay domestic and international travellers. There is a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom hotel apartments.

Each superior-sized apartment features timeless interior finishes, complete with DeLonghi appliances, Vittoria coffee machines and Kevin Murphy toiletries and haircare products. There is complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as laundry facilities, well-stocked mini bars and a bespoke bedding firmness menu.

Arc by Crown Group opened on 18 October. Designed by globally renowned architect Koichi Takada, the 25-storey residential apartment tower forms an eye-catching point of difference in the heart of Sydney’s CBD at 300 Kent Street, with its signature arches and eye-catching brickwork. Two striking glass and steel towers soar into the Sydney skyline. The building has become a global icon with its seamless combination of architectural excellence, resort style amenities and a luxurious urban lifestyle.

The historic Skittle Lane, originally built in the 1800s, has enjoyed a refurbishment sensitive to its history, and now hosts new restaurants and retail outlets and a stunning 12 metres new illuminated public art piece Reflect. Centuries-old historical artefacts have been unearthed during excavation, and now form part of a public display on site showcasing the urban transformation of Kent and Clarence Streets.

The Arc by Crown Group building has set a new bench mark in the integration of historical heritage and contemporary architecture within residential developments. The building itself is an architectural masterpiece in the city’s CBD and it’s set to be a global icon.”

Crown Group Director of Hotels and Suites Wayne Taranto says, “SKYE Hotel Suites is redefining the boundaries of the 5-star luxury hotel experience for domestic and international visitors and business travellers. It’s located right in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, within easy walking distance to the best that Sydney could offer, including International Convention Centre, Darling Square and Barangaroo precinct.”
