Taiwan Hot Spring Fine-Cuisine Festival Kicks Off: Ohbear Joins The Fun In A Brand New Hot Spring Experience

02_0021010Experience Taiwan’s hot springs in a whole new way during the 2015 Taiwan Hot Spring Fine-Cuisine Festival, from October 2, 2015, to January 31, 2016.

The 2015 festival is an integrated marketing event joining hot spring operators, restaurants and visitor hot spots throughout Taiwan, with plenty of in-depth travel information and the Tourism Bureau’s popular mascot “OhBear” to help guide the way. Apart from enjoying Taiwan’s best springs and cuisine, visitors can watch the stars at the Sichong River, catch the sunrise and listen to the waves on Green Island, or watch the fireflies at the Qingquan and Jianshi hot spring areas.

The Taiwan Tourism Bureau said that this year’s festival features special deals from more than 180 “Hot Spring Mark” certified businesses and specialty hotels, inns and restaurants. Visitors can also pick up a festival “Happy Passport” at any visitor information center or download the passport from the festival website at: http://www.taiwanhotspring.net/. The passport contains information on hot spring areas, businesses and deals, as well as guides on getting around. You can also show the passport when visiting designated stores to enjoy super deals on purchases and hot spring bathing.


Fall and winter are here, bringing cool weather and the return of the hot spring season. This is the perfect time to grab a Happy Passport and set out to experience the unique beauty, delicious cuisine, and restorative baths at Taiwan’s hot spring areas.
