Organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, co-organized by the Kaohsiung City Government, implemented by TAITRA and the Taiwan Industrial Fastener Institute, the 4th Taiwan International Fastener Show will take place from April 11th to 13th at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. The Taiwan International Fastener Show ranks among the world’s top three, and is Asia’s second largest professional fastener exhibition. This year, four hundred manufacturers and distributors will be displaying over 1,000 booths, with first-time exhibitors from Japan, the United States, Austria, Italy, India, and China. The show is estimated to attract around 1,900 international professional buyers to visit Taiwan for procurement. The show demonstrates the innovative strength and technology of Taiwan’s fastener industry supply chain, becoming this spring’s largest global fastener industry event!
Taiwan’s fastener industry has thrived for sixty years, and continues to be a major and stable fastener supplier for the international market. Internationally renowned as the “Kingdom of Fasteners”, Taiwan boasts advantages of rapid delivery, excellent quality, competitive strength, and other attractive factors. Taiwan’s industry has won the favor of the international market, selling screws, nuts, bolts, finished products, and production equipment throughout the steam locomotive, aerospace, medical, construction, and IT industries. In 2015, Taiwan’s fastener export value reached USD4.07 billion, with an export volume of more than 1.57 million tons, securing its place as the second largest exporter of fasteners worldwide. The Taiwan International Fastener Show, which is conveniently located near the Kaohsiung Okayama industry cluster, has become an excellent sourcing platform that global buyers visit biennially.
The Taiwan International Fastener Show continues its popularity of the past three years, garnering positively reputable responses from domestic and foreign industries. The numbers of manufacturers and booths have increased by 15% and 18% compared to the previous year. This year’s exhibition is divided into four main sections: a Finished Fastener Area, a Machinery Equipment, Raw Materials, Molds, and Tools Area, a Foreign Distributors Area, and a Cross-Strait Area. The Finished Fastener Area gathers domestic screw manufacturers and distributors; the Machinery Equipment, Raw Materials, Molds, and Tools Area displays raw materials and tools of the upstream fastener industry; and both the Foreign Distributors and Cross-strait Areas will infuse novelty into this year’s exhibition, adding diversity and must-see features to the whole exhibition, so that foreign buyers can procure all kinds of equipment and tools with one-stop-shopping.
A new International Fastener Summit has been planned for the exhibition, inviting the European Fastener Distributor Association (EFDA), Italian Union of Fastener Distributors (UDIB), National Fastener Distributors Association (NFDA), Taiwan Industrial Fastener Institute (TIFI), and other industry leaders and top experts to deliver speeches. The summit will cover international trends and challenges, exploring and predicting future trends of global fastener markets.
