Melbourne Victory is pleased to announce Bonza as the Club’s Principal Partner for the next four seasons. This is the biggest deal for Principal Partner in the Club’s history.

Australia’s newest low-cost airline will become the Melbourne Victory’s Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s front-of-shirt Partner, adorned on the team’s home and away jerseys, and will feature throughout club assets including signage, in-stadia activation and digital.

Melbourne Victory Managing Director, Caroline Carnegie said this was a landmark partnership for the Club as it ventures into a new era.

“We’re incredibly proud to welcome Bonza as our Principal Partner for the next four seasons in what is set to be an exciting time for Melbourne Victory and Bonza’s entry into the Australian aviation market,” Carnegie said.

“Bonza is a bold, innovative brand and we are like minded in our approach to making a statement in our respective industries.

“This partnership will allow both brands to grow on and off the pitch together and underlines our ambitions to grow football and the Melbourne Victory brand.”

Bonza Chief Commercial Officer, Carly Povey said the partnership is huge news for the new airline as it works towards getting wheels up from its two bases including Melbourne Airport and Sunshine Coast Airport.

“Melbourne is the only capital city on our initial route map and with a big population, we know partnering with Melbourne Victory is a great way to engage with the community here and across Victoria,” said Povey.

“Bonza looks forward to flying Melbourne Victory fans, whether they are looking to take a well earned break or visit loved ones, or for those customers wanting to fly to catch a match in Melbourne. We’ll also have some great deals for club members on the Fly Bonza app,” added Povey.

Bonza is challenging the domestic aviation market with their app first strategy, non gender specific uniforms, paperless pledge and route map and will progressively be rolled out for sale in future months. The initial destination map includes 17 destinations and 27 routes – 93% of which are not currently served by any airline and 96% not currently served by a low-cost carrier.

Destinations on Bonza’s initial route map include Melbourne, Avalon, Sunshine Coast, Mildura, Albury, Cairns, Coffs Harbour, Mackay, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Rockhampton, Tamworth, Townsville, Whitsunday Coast, Bundaberg, Gladstone and Toowoomba.

Fans are encouraged to download the Fly Bonza app from the App Store or Google Play.
