Take two on Vanuatu Tourism’s ‘It Takes Two’ campaign

Following the success of its It Takes Two campaign in November last year, Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) and Air Vanuatu have launched the second phase of the promotion, offering Australian residents another chance to win the ultimate couples’ break to the South Pacific island destination.

The second phase competition runs from now until 24 February, 2014 and entries are via www.ittakestwo.travel – a dedicated campaign micro-site designed to offer helpful travel information and great holiday packages from Hoot Holidays, (formally Holiday Specialists) and Air Vanuatu Holidays, to those interested in travelling to Vanuatu.

To be in with a chance of winning, entrants must submit a two word entry via the micro-site – one stating how they feel before their Vanuatu escape and the second describing how they will feel afterwards. The prize includes return flights for two people to Port Vila, five nights at Sunset Bungalows Resort and return airport transfers.

Entrants can further build on their potential prize by sharing the competition via their social media channels. Those who share the competition will also be in the running to win additional internal flights to Vanuatu’s outer islands and accommodation when they get there. Islands included in the prize are Tanna, where the winner will enjoy a stay at Tanna Lodge and a chance to explore the live volcano, or Espiritu Santo, staying at Aore Island Resort and taking in the world class snorkelling and diving.

Anne Morris, Vanuatu Tourism Office’s Australian representative said a combination of the competition’s popularity and the recent extension of great Air Vanuatu flight deals led to the launch of a second phase and a second chance for Australians to win the ultimate couples’ break.

“The It Takes Two competition was really well received in November and when Air Vanuatu announced the extension of its great companion fares together with a number of resorts offering great deals, we decided to run the competition again to help drive the market to the micro-site and highlight the amazing holiday packages on offer,” Ms Morris said.

“The low season provides the perfect opportunity for Australians to make the most of cheaper flights and holiday packages and the It Takes Two micro-site provides a platform to promote some of these great deals – while also entering the competition.”

The ‘It Takes Two’ campaign will be promoted via electronic direct marketing, re-targeting advertising, digital and social media advertising.
