Taleb Rifai Of The UNWTO And Alain St.Ange From The Seychelles Arrive In Kenya For The UNWTO East Africa Tourism Development Forum

Taleb Rifai, the Secretary General of the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organisation) and Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture were greeted on their arrival in Nairobi by the Kenya’s PS fro Tourism and the MD of the Kenya Tourism Board.


This meeting that is aimed at exploring more togetherness in the East African countries as well as more cooperation with the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands comes at a time when Kenya’s tourism industry is back up and running and travel advisories that were imposed for security reasons being removed.

Both Secretary General Taleb Rifai and Minister Alain St.Ange sat with Mr Muriithi Ndegwa, the Managing Director of the Kenya Tourism Board as they signed the Official Visitors Book at the airport (See photo).


This UNWTO meeting is expecting to rally Tourism Ministers and Heads of Tourism Authorities from the East Africa Region and from the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands together to look at regional tourism.
