Tamir Kobrin Is Announced As Opening General Manager Of Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort In Sri Lanka

Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas is pleased to announce the appointment of Tamir Kobrin as opening General Manager of Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort in Sri Lanka. With over 20 years of hospitality experience in luxury resorts and hotels in the United States, Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East and South-East Asia, Kobrin is leading the team at Anantara’s first resort in the country, which is scheduled to open next month.

Kobrin has worked for some of the world’s finest hotel brands ranging from Ritz Carlton, Mandarin Oriental and Raffles, to independent brands such as Aleenta, The King David Hotel and Hotel de Russie in Rome. Prior to joining Anantara he opened two Leela Palace Hotels in India, in Udaipur and Chanakyapuri New Delhi.

After earning a diploma in hotel management from Les Roches Hotel Management School followed by the completion of a senior development programme at Cornell University, he started his career at the Three Kings Hotel in Basel, Switzerland. His first management position was with Raffles Grand Hotel D’ Angkor in Cambodia, as resident manager.

With nearly 25 years of hospitality experience, Kobrin is a highly accomplished professional, valued for his extensive experience in opening hotels in Asia and his ability to lead multi-cultural teams.

For over eight months our stellar team has been gearing up for our launch in December and I believe our quality training programmes will ensure that we raise the bar for hospitality excellence in the country.”

 Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort will offer guests a unique resort experience in Sri Lanka. Located on the island’s southern coastline, the new resort is set on a secluded stretch of beach amidst a 21-acre coconut plantation. Each of the 120-guest rooms and 32 private pool villas exude serenity and the spacious interiors blend comfortable luxury with modern amenities.

Six different restaurant, bar and lounge venues will showcase Italian, Asian and Sri Lankan cuisine and the resort will feature an impressive Anantara Spa, dedicated to Ayurveda wellness. Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle will offer a tranquil retreat with indulgent opportunities for relaxation, romance and cultural discovery, appealing to couples, honeymooners, adventurers and families.
