With summer knocking at Pirata’s door, Chef Stefano Rossi has created light and fresh ‘honest’ dishes for guests to enjoy while indulging in Italian style family recipes. Dive right into the new seasonal lunch, brunch and a la carte menus featuring a selection of delicious seafood such as sea bass, octopus, lobster and crab perfect as well as truffles and cheese to share with families and friends.
“As a kid, I remember summer vacations spent near the sea or lakes, so seafood was always prominent on the dinner table,” says Chef Stefano. “When I think about summer in Hong Kong, I need my grilled fish and salads, something fresh and easy to eat. That’s what Italian summer tastes like to me.”
Hong Kong’s love affair with seafood continues in the beautifully set restaurant of Pirata. New favourites on the menu includeTuscanian seabass carpaccio (HKD280) served with salad, passion fruit and home-made passion fruit vinaigrette ice cream, Grilled octopus skewer (HKD180) made with Mediterranean octopus, potato and herbs as well as Asparagus Flan (HKD110) a dish of asparagus, egg, cream and parmesan cheese fondue.
No Italian meal is complete without homemade pasta. Try the Crab Tortelloni (HKD190) filled with crab meat and cherry tomato in sauce made with basil, confit tomato and chilli for something with a kick, or Lobster Linguini (HKD280) a mix of fresh live lobster, tomato and basil for something hearty.
