Temptations, the newly refurbished Continental restaurant at StarWorld Macau, is delighted to introduce its “Taste of Premium, Freshness of Seafood” promotion, offering diners a unique mouth-watering seafood experience from now through 31 March 2014.

Among the various delicacies, guests will be able to enjoy the refined taste of fresh abalone, paired off with French blue mussels and grapefruit for a tantalizing first course. Long considered a culinary treat, abalone’s sweet flavor has made it a star ingredient in Chinese banquets and other celebrations. Mussels, meanwhile, have long been a favorite dish in Western Europe thanks to their salty overtones. Premium blue mussels are now predominantly harvested in the North Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, where the clean and cold water makes the meat of the mussels sweeter, plumper and tenderer.

For something zestier, the chef’s springy-fleshed tiger prawns specially imported from the pristine coasts of Australia meet the highest standards of freshness and quality. Paired with meaty cherrystone clams and finished with a sprinkle of lemon olive oil, they combine beautifully to create a most refreshing, oceanic flavor.

For the main course, diners will delight in trying carefully selected scallops, another popular ingredient in Western cuisine. In this seafood pasta dish, meaty giant scallops and juicy blue mussels are grilled to perfection to bring out their natural flavor, and delicately rested atop fragrant minced shrimp and saffron linguini. Often regarded as the most sophisticated spice in the world, saffron is famous for its flowery and honey-like aroma, and a small amount can go a long way to bringing a dish to life with powerful flavors. Altogether, these quality ingredients create a unique dish for the ultimate fine dining experience.

Poaching is one of the most popular methods of cooking silver cod. In his own take on the dish, the chef poaches the fresh silver cod with aromatic seafood soup, pairs it with Japanese sake-steamed mussels and ties in all the flavors with delightful morel mousse. Morels, much like truffles, are often regarded as the aristocrats of the forest, and as such find themselves the ingredient of choice of many a gourmet worldwide. Together with the silver cod and mussels, they create a light yet flavorful main course choice for the diners.

Now for a veritable piece de resistance, guests will have the opportunity to experience a delectable combination of thick tiger prawns and grilled Iberico pork. Originating from Spain, Iberico pork has been recognized as the finest pork in the world thanks to its uniquely rich flavor. The wonderful combination is complemented to perfection with gorgeous clams and sweet seafood sauce, making it an ideal choice for a cool spring evening.
