Showcasing more than 30 of Vail’s finest chefs and restaurateurs – and nearly 50 of the country’s top vintners – the Taste of Vail, April 2-5, 2014 in Vail, Colo., is the spring don’t-miss event for foodies from around the world.

But even those not on a caviar budget can enjoy the festivities with a special Taste of Vail lodging deal at the Antlers at Vail hotel, offering a roomy studio or one-bedroom suite for $199/night.

A new Taste of Vail signature event kicks off the iconic Vail festival on April 2 with a Debut of Rosé that provides one of the first opportunities of the year to taste the 2013 rosés just being released. Additional Taste of Vail signature events include the annual spring lamb cook off, a gourmet tasting picnic atop Vail Mountain, and the Saturday Grand Tasting auction, and 2014 seminars will cover topics from cigars to olive oil. Taste of Vail ticket prices range from $50 for the Debut of Rosé event or an individual seminar to $525 for a full festival pass.

Now in its third decade, the Taste of Vail is the nation’s premier spring food and wine festival, with an expected attendance of as many as 5,000 to sample the Vail Valley lifestyle. For more Taste of Vail information and a full schedule of events or to buy tickets, visit http://www.tasteofvail.com. Antlers at Vail is a Taste of Vail lodging partner.

Also happening the weekend of April 4-5, the Pink Vail ski fundraiser to fight cancer benefits patient care and resources at Shaw Regional Cancer Center, with the same special Antlers at Vail lodging rate for participants of $199/night for a studio or one-bedroom – plus the opportunity to lower your room rate by doing good. Pink Vail participants who raise $300-749 will receive a $129/night rate from the Antlers, and for those raising $750 or more, the rate drops to $99. Pink Vail participants can register to ski individually or join a team and gather donations from family and friends. To register or for more information, visit http://www.pinkvail.com.

Billed as “the world’s biggest ski day to conquer cancer,” Pink Vail – now in its third year and expecting some 2,000 participants – also includes on-mountain deck parties, live music, and the Celebration Ski-Down, a tribute ski to those who have fought or lost their battle with cancer. Antlers at Vail is an official hotel of Pink Vail. In addition to the special room rates, Antlers will donate $5 per room night to Pink Vail.
