More than 45 Thailand-based suppliers representing international and domestic airlines, inbound tour operators and other industry representatives joined the events, also staged in Brisbane and Melbourne, in what TAT Director Australia, Ms Numfhon Boonyawat said marked one of the biggest and most successful workshop series the national tourist office has staged in recent years.

Underlining the importance of the events, the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Deputy Governor for International Marketing, Mr.Pongsathorn Kessasamli and several senior consular staff addressed the workshops.

Building on the ‘taste’ theme, the events were attended by high profile Thai cooking expert Duncan Robertson whose ‘Duncan’s Thai Kitchen’ series is currently airing on WIN TV and Channel Gem and Mrs Amy Chanta, the owner of Chat Thai restuarants in Sydney and one of the best known Thai cooking experts in Sydney who both presented.

Cultural activities at each venue also included demonstrations of ‘Muay Thai’ boxing.
