Bangkok, 25 July, 2016 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Thai AirAsia have joined together to announce the winners of the “Spice Up the Sky with Thai Design” competition both for the theme of the Amazing Thailand-Amazing Destination and Amazing Thailand-Amazing Culture with the 2 winning designs to decorate Thai AirAsia airplanes by this year’s end to promote Thailand’s amazing travel attractions to local and international travellers alike.
The chosen winner in the Amazing Thailand – Amazing Destination theme was Cherdsak Moeykanmak with his design titled “Yak-Cute”, which used the iconic giants from Wat Pho and Wat Arun to highlight Thailand’s unique architectural style. Showcasing the two giants in an endearing, modern way, Cherdsak’s “Yak-Cute” title directly translates to “Cute Giant”.
