Peter Watson has spent most of his working life in the “travel” business working in shipping, aviation, wholesale and retail travel sales as well as owning and operating two retail stores. It is however in retail distribution that Peter has become best “known”; first with Jetset where he developed and launched the original “Jetset Travel” franchise and then created, developed and launched the NAITA network.
Peter was also CEO of ATAC for just over four year and was part of the management group that merged National World Travel; Travelworld and ATAC into the fledging Travelworld group, which ultimately morphed into the Jetset Travelworld Group (JTG). Peter then spent three years as GM of the Concorde Agency Network before leaving Concorde in March 2007 to successfully launch Travel Counsellors in Australia. Peter left Travel Counsellors in May 2010.
Peter brings unprecedented travel industry experience and knowledge to his role as an “Editor at Large” and sees his role as sharing that knowledge and experience in a series of commentaries and stories on the industry, the people and the places that are special to him.

In a Media and Public Relations career spanning more than 35 years Savage has worked as both a journalist and communications specialist. He started his media career as a general news and feature writer for national state and regional media including The Australian, The Daily Telegraph, The Sydney Morning Herald, Cumberland Newspaper Group and Australian Associated Press.
He also worked as an on air presenter for Channels 9 and 10 and as a reporter, presenter and producer for radio stations, 2UE, 2UW, 2WS the ABC and all their affiliated networks. Savage is a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and a member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers. Although still enjoying the ever increasing challenges of travel “spin” the return to a travel writing role ads another dimension to his lifestyle. Savage has been a recipient of many Public Relations, Marketing and Tourism Awards during his career.

Mayumi Enokido is a graduate of Kansai Junior College of Foreign Language. After completing her formal education she entered Nippon Travel Agency. Her career at NTA began working in the overseas arrangement and international ticketing departments. She then transferred to the head office where she worked on NTA’s branded wholesale product. Mayumi additionally has significant experience working for the inbound department at NTA’s headquarters.
Upon returning to Japan after living in Canada, Mayumi has spent time teaching English to elementary school, junior high and senior high school students in preparation for their college entrance exams. She has served as a lecturer of travel management for the Japan Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

Lars Magnusson was born in Sweden, but has lived most of his adult life in Asia.
He started his publishing career more than 30 years ago, working with Business Publicity Company Ltd., the publisher of “Business in Thailand” and what was then Thailand’s first consumer travel magazine “Siam Scene”
In the early eighties, together with Derek Enscoe, he developed and published various Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Directories.
Lars went on to establish his own company, Magnus Media, in 1986, representing travel publications, and financial magazines in Thailand and South East Asia. Prior to its acquisition by Air Canada, Lars was in charge of the in-flight magazine for Canadian Airlines in Asia, and responsible for the only Japanese language in-flight magazine published for a North American airline.
Lars subsequently joined the team producing Asia’s first travel TV programme “The Business of Travel” produced for NBC/CMBC. Later, he also worked with “Travel Asia and Beyond” produced for Star TV.
For the last ten years, he has been developing the business of eTurbo News in Asia.
As a travel industry veteran, Lars is proud to be the co-publisher of Thailand’s only English language advertising and marketing directory THE ADVERTISING BOOK, published annually for the last 28 years, and of his association with TTR Online, the online edition of “Travel Trade Report” magazine – now in its 35th year of publication.
With this wealth of knowledge and long experience, Lars would now like to introduce to the travel industry the advantages of developing partnership relations with eGlobal Travel Media.
