e-Global Travel Media’s Managing Editor, Peter Needham, has long been considered one of Australasia’s foremost tourism writers and columnists. Over the past 20 years, Peter has written for many major publications in Australia and Asia, both consumer and trade, including weekend newspaper travel supplements, magazines, dedicated travel titles and websites.
Peter’s background includes seven years as Editor of Inside Tourism – at the time, Australia’s only weekly travel industry publication, and other editorial roles with Traveltrade (Australia), Australian Associated Press (Sydney Bureau), Reuters(UK), and the Los Angeles Times / Washington Post News Service (European Bureau, London). Peter was also a reporter for The Guardian (London).
e-Global Travel Media’s North and South American editor,Matthew Thomas, was the former editor of The Americas for Travel blackboard as well as the editor for Black Meetings and Tourism Magazine.
Also a prominent member of a number of prestigious organisations including the Board of Governors of the World Centre and the Board of Directors of the San Francisco African American Chamber of Commerce, Matthew now covers the latest developments and news within the American travel industry.

e-Global Travel Media’s Business Tourism Editor, Jill Walsh, first began her career in journalism in Perth, W.A. in the early 1990s.
Now based in Melbourne, Jill has written articles for a number of business tourism titles, lifestyle and leisure magazines, and Sunday newspapers in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Jill covers business tourism for the interactive news service in Australia and abroad, where she often attends the world’s leading trade shows on behalf of the team.
My role is to bring you the most up-to-date news from the ground and in the air, with real examples and experiences that are relevant to every travel professional.

Peter Watson has spent most of his working life in the “travel” business working in shipping, aviation, wholesale and retail travel sales as well as owning and operating two retail stores. It is however in retail distribution that Peter has become best “known”; first with Jetset where he developed and launched the original “Jetset Travel” franchise and then created, developed and launched the NAITA network.
Peter was also CEO of ATAC for just over four year and was part of the management group that merged National World Travel; Travelworld and ATAC into the fledging Travelworld group, which ultimately morphed into the Jetset Travelworld Group (JTG). Peter then spent three years as GM of the Concorde Agency Network before leaving Concorde in March 2007 to successfully launch Travel Counsellors in Australia. Peter left Travel Counsellors in May 2010.
Peter brings unprecedented travel industry experience and knowledge to his role as an “Editor at Large” and sees his role as sharing that knowledge and experience in a series of commentaries and stories on the industry, the people and the places that are special to him.
No one could be better suited to represent e-Global Travel in Hawaii and Japan than Arlynne.
Arlynne was born in Hawaii and raised and educated in Japan. She then began a long and successful hospitality career based in Hawaii with a focus on serving the Japanese traveler.
Arlynne is truly a perfect blend of East and West. Her understanding and appreciation of the Japanese people and culture and her “aloha spirit” which she shares so freely and naturally perfectly qualifies her to be the conduit bringing Australian, New Zealand and guests from all parts of the globe to her two favorite places, Hawaii and Japan.
Following his recent move to New Zealand, Richard Froggatt has joined the team at Global Travel Media as contributing editor for New Zealand.
Richard is well known in the Australia-New Zealand marketplace having held such senior management roles as General Manager South West Pacific for
Lauda/Austrian Airlines, Chairman of BARA (Board of Airline Representatives of Australia) & Board Member MCVB (Melbourne Convention & Visitors Bureau).
Andrew J Wood (53) has been at the forefront of Thai Tourism since his arrival in the Kingdom in the early 1990′s. Andrew has been linked with many of Thailand’s finest hotel’s including the famed Shangri-La and the Royal Cliff Beach Resort.
A passionate hotelier and a Skalleague. Andrew is currently President, Skal International Thailand and is an enthusiastic environmental advocate for green policies in tourism and an avid writer in his spare time.
In a Media and Public Relations career spanning more than 35 years Savage has worked as both a journalist and communications specialist. He started his media career as a general news and feature writer for national state and regional media including The Australian, The Daily Telegraph, The Sydney Morning Herald, Cumberland Newspaper Group and Australian Associated Press.
He also worked as an on air presenter for Channels 9 and 10 and as a reporter, presenter and producer for radio stations, 2UE, 2UW, 2WS the ABC and all their affiliated networks. Savage is a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and a member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers. Although still enjoying the ever increasing challenges of travel “spin” the return to a travel writing role ads another dimension to his lifestyle. Savage has been a recipient of many Public Relations, Marketing and Tourism Awards during his career.
Freelance journalist and part time commentator on industry affairs and events
Markhus R Dymond has floated around the edges of journalism, story telling and some semi serious writing; whilst travelling and getting into scrapesall over the world for the last 25 or so years and now at the age of 48 and heading for a rather big birthday he has settled down in Queensland (the Sunshine Coast) from where he writes as a freelance journalist and travel writer; he travel to and from Asia quite regularly where he writes travelouges and has an eye for a good story – which means he is still looking for his big break.
NOW – he has joined E Global as a freelance journalist and part time commentator on industry affairs and events.

Working with the Sydney Morning Herald for nine years before moving on to international media representation, Andy has worked on some of the world’s leading magazine and newspaper titles.
Heading up the Australian sales team, Andy’s core object ive i s to provide every advertiser with a tailored program that delivers their interactive business message to thereader.

Mayumi Enokido is a graduate of Kansai Junior College of Foreign Language. After completing her formal education she entered Nippon Travel Agency. Her career at NTA began working in the overseas arrangement and international ticketing departments. She then transferred to the head office where she worked on NTA’s branded wholesale product. Mayumi additionally has significant experience working for the inbound department at NTA’s headquarters.
Upon returning to Japan after living in Canada, Mayumi has spent time teaching English to elementary school, junior high and senior high school students in preparation for their college entrance exams. She has served as a lecturer of travel management for the Japan Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

As long standing and respected travel & food writers in India, they have travelled across the world and have contributed to major dailies, lifestyle magazines, in-flight periodicals in India and abroad.
A&M were India correspondents for TTG Asia Media, Asia’s leading travel trade publication for 14 years. They have also contributed for four years to Aviation International News (AIN) on commercial, business and defense aviation. They have received many industry awards and National Tourism Award.

Earth Saiswang, joins Global Travel Media as the Social and Hospitality Editor, based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Earth Saiswang, brings over 25 years experience in hotels, public relations with some of Bangkok’s prestigious hotels, Central Hotels & Resorts (Currently Centara Hotels & Resorts), Holiday Inn, Crown Plaza and Grand Sukhumvit Sofitel and is the current President of the Hotel Public Relations Association of Thailand. Earth Saiswang is also a TV Host for Bangkok Society (on Bangkok city Channel).
Based in Bangkok, Earth has written articles for numerous, lifestyle and leisure magazines in the region.
Earth Saiswang covers social events and hospitality for many high end magazines.

Reinhard Hohler from Germany has travel in his blood. If not on tours, he finds time to write about his travel adventures and tour experiences. Based in Chiang Mai, he also covers tourism related news for Chiang Mai Post, Chiang Mai Mail, ASEAN Today and some other on-line travel services.
Since 2002, he intensively writes about the tourism developments in the Greater Mekong-Subregion (GMS), comprising China, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam. Sometimes, he even ventures into Island Southeast Asia and the Indian Subcontinent.

Richard (Rick) has a true international background. Born in Toronto, Canada, he was raised in Chicago, and London, and subsequently has lived and worked in 8 countries. After some years in Europe, The Gulf and Asia, he now lives in Brisbane, Australia and works worldwide.
Richard’s career has been valuably varied. He has served with Qantas, KLM, Dubai Petroleum Company, and Emirates.
He incorporates his valuable background into writing and training on Leadership, Sales and Customer service subjects. He brings innovative and creative ideas to his training that engage his audiences. He has delivered hundreds of presentations in over 55 countries.
Richard develops timely analogies and ‘themes’ for writing and training, that his readers and participants connect with quickly and use to accelerate and enhance their learning. Lars Magnusson was born in Sweden, but has lived most of his adult life in Asia.
He started his publishing career more than 30 years ago, working with Business Publicity Company Ltd., the publisher of “Business in Thailand” and what was then Thailand’s first consumer travel magazine “Siam Scene”
In the early eighties, together with Derek Enscoe, he developed and published various Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Directories.
Lars went on to establish his own company, Magnus Media, in 1986, representing travel publications, and financial magazines in Thailand and South East Asia. Prior to its acquisition by Air Canada, Lars was in charge of the in-flight magazine for Canadian Airlines in Asia, and responsible for the only Japanese language in-flight magazine published for a North American airline.
Lars subsequently joined the team producing Asia’s first travel TV programme “The Business of Travel” produced for NBC/CMBC. Later, he also worked with “Travel Asia and Beyond” produced for Star TV.
For the last ten years, he has been developing the business of eTurbo News in Asia.
As a travel industry veteran, Lars is proud to be the co-publisher of Thailand’s only English language advertising and marketing directory THE ADVERTISING BOOK, published annually for the last 28 years, and of his association with TTR Online, the online edition of “Travel Trade Report” magazine – now in its 35th year of publication.
With this wealth of knowledge and long experience, Lars would now like to introduce to the travel industry the advantages of developing partnership relations with eGlobal Travel Media.
