Temple Skincare & Spa is proudly celebrating our 17th year in the business and to reiterate the Temple Team’s commitment to truly caring and generous indulgence for each customer, as well as to thank our loyal clientele and community we are launching the following events.
Skin School
This is a new initiative we have launched this school holidays and would love to roll it our every school holidays for tweens and teens. Skin school is a hands on, fun and supportive workshop designed to teach boys and girls from 12-14 years old to care for their skin for life. Beautiful, healthy and clean clear skin helps make happy teens!
We teach them how to correctly care for their skin now with not only their current challenges they face as teens, but for decades to come. It is a 90 minute interactive workshop that begins with a professional computerised skin analysis so they can see what we see on their skin; then the workshop is a practical time to learn the steps to caring for their skin and why.
Our Skin School students will take with them a Teen Skincare Starter Pack to get them on their way to healthier skin. On top of this, they will get a free membership into our yearly Skin School program that entitles them to over $1000 worth of benefits for the year to help hold their hands to clear healthy skin.
The first Skin School workshop is held on Tuesday 16th April at 3pm and is only $99. We have limited spots so please grab your group of friends and book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Temple Hearts
This year, we decided to take on a more proactive approach for our charity assistance. Over the years, we have supported endless charities and local schools and businesses, however we felt that by solely supporting one, we could really make a difference this year.
The cosmetic and beauty Industry is worth over $5billion and all the while, local charities who support worthy causes such as domestic violence, abuse of children, hunger, homelessness and unemployment continue to scrape together enough money and resources to sustain the good work they do in our communities.
Hawkesbury Helping Hands (HHH) was established in 2011 by mother and daughter, Linda and Cassidy who, after witnessing a hungry man rummaging through their family bin for food, decided at that moment that food and dignity was something they could help with, and so HHH was born.
Giving a helping hand with no judgement is the motto, and to give love and kindness and compassion as much as they can is their actions. Feeding the underprivileged in schools and homelessness is their biggest causes.
“These people are just like us. They can be our brothers, sisters, mothers or fathers that are educated and worthy but have fallen on circumstances that leave them alone and in need. These people are living in the Hawkesbury and Windsor area and need our help,” says charity founder, Linda.
At Temple Skincare & Spa, we will be featuring monthly ways in which The Temple donates to this worthy cause. I wish we all would support our country in need more and so we love to pay it forward and help these people with money donations consistently all year as well as our team donates their time to cook and feed the homeless also.
I am a strong believer that life is all about to give and to receive. Over the past 17yrs, I have experienced the highs and extreme lows of being a small business and I personally feel that one of the joyous parts of being in business and being successful, is giving back. Having a successful business means that I am in a position to give back to not only my family, but to my local community. As my business is community-based, I believe that strong alliances with other local businesses is essential to longevity, not just for the Temple, but for our community and their support groups.
We not only support many local and national charities, we also provide a place of trust and love that our local community can come to and feel a sense of belonging.
Temple Retreats
Temple Retreats Temple Retreats is a 5 star experiential retreat for our VIP clients. This is aimed at only women, and although all women are welcome, it is designed with professional women in mind — women who need to enjoy the balance in life of downtime, personal development and indulgent experiences.
Set for Spain in September, and we are doing all the things that women love, and that men winge about when on holidays! Starting with 3 nights in a luxury villa just outside of Barcelona, then moving to the ocean in Valencia for 2 nights and finishing in the hub of Madrid for another 2 nights.
We will be experiencing 5 star day spas in each place and doing loads of other things like: Oxygen cabins for re-energising; yoga and meditation every morning; personal stylist and shopping tour; tour to the growers markets and private cooking classes; cultural trips; remineralising in salt caves; personal development sessions; massages on tap; sailing around the coast; visiting hot springs and hydrotherapy; and, amazing food of course.
The experiences are set to have an element of personal development for wellness but also, skill that can be utilised for productivity so that our guests can claim it as a business trip if they need to. The bigger picture is that we will be holding Wellness Retreats in Australia a couple of times a year, then these Experiential Retreats overseas once yearly.
Business Beyond Beauty (BBB)
Our newest venture is a mentoring program for salon owners. Most therapists are amazing at their craft and they often decide to start their own businesses but have no idea about the skills needed to run a successful and sustainable business. BBB helps these salon and spa owners learn how to run successful and profitable businesses. We cover everything from branding, financials and profitability, systems, staff training, accountability and much more.
As I have 17 years of business under my belt, 26 years in our wonderful industry; won loads of awards (including the 2016, 2017, 2018 ABIAs to name a few); attended countless certified courses; and, had many wins and learnt from many losses over the years, I feel I have a wealth of knowledge to share. My husband, Justin Herald, is also a co-mentor in BBB, and he has over 25 years in business successes, he is a renowned public speaker including for the major hair and beauty industry events, as well as a mentor to many small to medium businesses. We really love giving back to our industry and love seeing others succeed to grow and evolve.
Speaking with many colleagues and owners in our industry, it saddened us to know they are so far from their maximum potential and that with a little guidance and business knowledge they could be enjoying the art of business alongside their art of their craft in beauty and hair.
Many times it can be lonely in business and we see a large number of people struggle everyday. We see some that perhaps are not tapping into their highest potential, while others are exhausted and completely spent from the demands of running a business in an ever changing world. Feeling overwhelmed and of isolation is common and life balance and profits are scarce. This is what we help with — all of the above! AND we also can assist in training staff to consult, sell and achieve goals they never imagined.
We guide them on the path to getting their mojo back and we help them achieve the success they imagined when they decided to go into the beauty and hair industry as a business.

Who are we still after 17yrs? The Temple Skincare is where advanced skin treatments meet with the holistic. What does this mean? It means, we are a beautiful blend of Medi-Spa and Day Spa. We believe that to completely care for our clients (ie: our Temple Family), we need to be able to offer serious results for our clients’ skin, alongside nurturing their souls and bring about balance through relaxation, de-stressing and wellness. This way we completely care for our clients and can offer a complete “whole-listic” and holistic approach to beauty and wellness.

My business is based upon my personal philosophy. I believe that there is something special & healing we can offer through kinetic touch and we can truly bring about change to a client’s soul though that time we have them in our care. As therapists we are privileged to be in an industry that is actually allowed to touch another human being. I believe that if we can achieve our client’s best skin yet as well as care for their mind, body and spirit, then we have a client for life and this stops clients being bored and trying our competitors, hence the beautiful blend of Medi-spa and Day Spa.
Medi-spa
We have 4 treatment rooms and 10 staff members. Our Medi-Spa employs skin aestheticians who are experts in their field with an in depth anatomy and physiology knowledge and an understanding of cell function & ingredient technology, to completely understand how to effectively treat different skin conditions. This area of our business needs knowledge, skill and the latest cutting edge technology to be able to confidently treat our clients skin concerns.
We have over a million dollars in the latest technology and machinery within our medi-spa, ranging from four different types of lasers, LED light therapy, Hydrabrasions, RF natural face-lifting, Oxygen therapy, Skin needling, computerized skin analysis machines and more. We use medical grade cosmeceutical skincare in our medi-spa such as, Image Skincare & Germaine De Cappuccini. Our skincare and machinery is sourced from all over the world to bring our clients only the best of the best! Our results-orientated skin treatments in the Medi-Spa enables us to confidently achieve the results our clients deserve.
Day Spa
Our Day Spa employs spa therapists that excel in the client experience with an emphasis on all the little things that make a spa experience special. Its not simply about the touch, it’s about the feeling and love that goes into everything we do from beginning to end.
The Temple Skincare & Spa is nestled down by the pool inside a boutique hotel, The Hills Lodge at Castle Hill. As you walk down the jasmine lined steps, a feeling of tranquility will surround you. If you need a little pampering for the soul, our day spa packages are designed to alleviate stress & tension and nurture your soul to bring about balance to your mind, body, and spirit.

We use an Australian made luxury spa range called IKOU. This is a divine organic, aromatherapy product hand made in the Blue Mountains, Leura. IKOU stimulates all the systems of the body with its melting textures & its nurturing aromas. Using IKOU helps us take the client above and beyond relaxation, on a journey for their skin and their soul. Coupled with the healing hands and the loving intent from our therapists, we are blessed to be able to take our clients to that next level of relaxation, allowing them to emerge from their room on cloud to float their way home. Everything we do at The Temple is aimed at exceeding every client’s expectations on every visit — this is the ‘Temple way.’

Each and every treatment performed at The Temple, is performed with love and a true passion for what we do. It doesn’t matter if you are having an $18 brow wax, a complete day spa ritual or a medi-spa bootcamp, we love and care for all our clients the same. Our clients and our staff are our ‘Temple Family.’ Our purpose is bigger than us. It’s not about the shallowness of making our clients look good, it’s about a sense of community and family. It’s about creating a space where our women know they are part of a ‘family’, that they are part of our TRIBE — a TRIBE where they feel valued, appreciated and cared for.
