THAI Offers “Happy Visa Free to Japan” Promotional Fare

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited is offering the “Happy Visa Free to Japan” promotional fare on the roundtrip routes between Bangkok and Japan to all THAI destinations in Japan, in response to the visa exemption permitting Thai passport holders to visit Japan without a visa.

Mr. Chokchai Panyayong, THAI Senior Executive Vice President, Commercial Department, said that THAI is offering the “Happy Visa Free to Japan” promotional fare beginning at 19,000 baht in economy class on the roundtrip routes between Bangkok and Japan on these routes: Sapporo, Narita, Haneda, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka. The promotional fares will enable Thai nationals to travel to Japan at affordable prices. Tickets may be issued beginning 19 July 2013 until 19 August 2013 and travel commencing from 19 July 2013 to 19 September 2013. Passengers who make reservations and issue tickets online www.thaiairways.com will receive an additional 10 kilograms baggage allowance, on top of normal baggage allowance.

“Happy Visa Free to Japan” promotional fare includes all taxes and surcharges (taxes and surcharges may vary based on the foreign currency exchange rate on the date of ticket issuance). Promotional fare tickets are valid for 14 days, with limited seats allocated per flight, whereby conditions may apply. Passengers will receive Royal Orchid Plus mileage accrual.

In addition, THAI will increase flights to Japan in order to meet passenger demand. Passengers have a greater number of Japanese destinations to select from when traveling with THAI, which operates the most flights and serves the most destinations from Thailand to Japan. THAI will increase flights to Sapporo to 5 flights per week beginning 16 August 2013. THAI also plans to further increase flights in the Winter Programme at the end of October, increasing flights to Sapporo to 7 flights per week, increasing flights to Nagoya from12 to 14 flights per week. THAI is also in the process of planning the launch of two new destinations in Japan: Sendai and Okinawa.
