THAI Offers Songkran Promotional Fares and Special Menu

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) is offering special one-way domestic fares as part of its “Songkran Celebration 2014” promotion for THAI and THAI Smile domestic flights whereby tickets may be reserved and issued now until 17 April 2014.

Mr. Chokchai Panyayong, THAI Senior Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Sustainable Development and Acting President, said that THAI is offering this special promotion during Songkran festival 2014 for customers to take advantage of one-way domestic fares on THAI and THAI Smile flights in Economy Class. Passengers can make reservations and issue tickets now until 17 April 2014 and may being travel on inbound domestic flights to Bangkok during 11-13 April 2014 and travel on outbounddomestic flights originating in Bangkok during 15 – 17 April 2014, some flight details as follows: 

Route One-Way Domestic Fare in Economy Class
Bangkok – Chiang Mai Prices begin at 1,500 Baht
Bangkok – Chiang Rai Prices begin at 1,590 Baht
Bangkok – Khon Kaen Prices begin at 1,250 Baht
Bangkok – Udon Thani Prices begin at 1,300 Baht
Bangkok – Ubon Ratchathani Prices begin at 1,350 Baht
Bangkok – Krabi Prices begin at 1,590 Baht
Bangkok – Phuket Prices begin at 1,690 Baht
Bangkok – Surat Thani Prices begin at 1,480 Baht
Bangkok – Hat Yai Prices begin at 1,800 Baht

The special fare is for travel in Economy Class ticket for an individual passenger, includes airport tax and surcharges with limited seats per flight and conditions may apply. Mileage may be accrued based on Royal Orchid Plus conditions.

The Company is pleased to serve special Songkran dishes and desserts prepared by THAI Catering for all passengers. Details below: 

– On THAI domestic flights departing from Bangkok during 12 – 14 April 2014, Royal Silk Class passengers will be served Mango with Sticky Rice Gateaux Cake and Economy Class passengers will be served Germinated Brown Rice Takoh. On THAI domestic flights arriving Bangkok, Royal Silk Class passengers will be served Taro Custard and Economy Class passengers will be served Coconut Milk Jelly. 

–  On THAI international flights departing from Bangkok during 12 – 14 April 2014, Royal Silk Class passengers will be served Mango Fish Herbal Salad, Baked Chicken Stuffed with Prunes with Organic Aromatic Two-Toned Rice. Pandanus Pancake and Mango with Sticky Rice Mousse will be served for dessert. For Royal Silk Class passengers, Mango Fish Herbal Salad, Baked Chicken Stuffed with Prunes with Hom Mali Rice will be served. Mango with Sticky Rice Tart will be served for dessert. For Economy Class passengers, Mango Fish Herbal Salad, Baked Chicken Stuffed with Prunes with Hom Mali Rice will be served. Mango with Sticky Rice Jelly will be served for dessert. (Only for flights with lunch and dinner service and except not served on flights travelling to India, Pakistan and the Middle East) 

During 11 – 13 April 2014, all counters at THAI passenger lounges at Suvarnabhumi Airport will be decorated with fresh garlands and sets of Thai powder and fragrant water as part of the Songkran tradition. Passengers may present water onto the Buddha image at the THAI Royal Silk Lounge at Concourse D and the THAI Royal Silk Lounge for domestic flights.
