The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Visa return this year with the fourth annual instalment of “Thailand Splash and Spice 2016”, introducing more world-class restaurants in one of the world’s top gourmet destinations – exclusive to Visa cardholders.
In addition to the long-standing partnership with Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association (RSTA), Visa introduces new participating restaurants along Bangkok’s skytrain line at shopping malls such as The Emquartier, Siam Paragon, Terminal 21, and MBK Center.
The food festival runs from today until May 30, offering international Visa cardholders exclusive deals at some of the country’s leading restaurants. More than 150 restaurants will participate in this campaign.
Visanu Jaroensilp, TAT’s Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business: “This campaign will strengthen Thailand’s reputation as the global culinary destination, and help to promote restaurants in key tourist centers in Thailand. For 2016, we have upped the ante by focusing on four-star-and-above restaurants, known for their signature dishes.”
Suripong Tantiyanon, Visa Country Manager, Thailand, said: “We are excited to be working with the Tourism Authority of Thailand once again to promote Thailand Splash and Spice 2016. Recently many interesting restaurant concepts have emerged in Bangkok, attracting gourmands from around the world while boosting tourism numbers. This event celebrates the best the country has to offer and provides some excellent choices for all Visa cardholders.”
The festival complements a number of other high profile events, such as the Amazing Thailand Grand Sale in June and Spectacular Year end Sale in November. For 18 years, Visa and TAT have been working together tirelessly to promote Thai tourism to the world.
Exclusive offers include special price for set menu and discount of up to 50 percent at participating restaurants. For a full list of offers, please visitwww.visa.co.th.
