Just weeks after re-opening following new kitchen renovations, The Argus Dining Room in Hepburn Springs has been awarded Regional Hotel Restaurant of the Year at the 2015 TAA (Vic) Accommodation Awards for Excellence.
Hotel Manager Travis Melotte and Restaurant Manager Clare Hastings attended the awards at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne recently which recognises the best in the tourism business.
The gala event was attended by more than 500 hospitality industry leaders and The Minister for Tourism and Major Events John Eren.
Darryl Washington, General Manager of TAA (Vic) praised the finalists and award-winners. “The industry constantly strives to raise the bar and again this year, the nominated properties, and in particular those that have been honoured at the 2015 TAA (Vic) Accommodation Awards for Excellence emphasise this point.
This latest award for The Argus adds to an impressive list already received by the Chef’s Hatted Restaurant led by Executive Chef David Willcocks.
The Argus, which is located in Peppers Mineral Springs Hotel, has also been named in Gourmet Traveller’s Top 100 Australian restaurants of 2015 and was awarded Best Australian Food and Wine Experience – Dining at the 2014 Luxury Travel Magazine Gold List Awards.
Mr Melotte said he was thrilled with the recognition and award from TAA along with Ms Hastings, congratulated the hard working and dedicated team at the restaurant on their success.
The Argus Dining Rooms is open for dinner Wednesday to Sunday and lunch on the weekends.
Outside of these times, guests can enjoy The Argus Bar and Lounge menu for lunch seven days and dinner on Monday and Tuesday.
