Cruise and Maritime Voyages has had a touch of creativity added to Astor’s coming season, while based in Fremantle.
Astor will welcome Australasian Porcelain Art Teachers (WA region) Inc for the 6-night cruise from Fremantle, departing 12 February, 2017. The cruise will visit Esperance, Albany and Bunbury, before returning to Fremantle on 18 February, 2017.
More than 50 members of Porcelain Art Teachers have registered for the cruise, including from as far as Canada, while the group also has members from South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Japan.
During the cruise Australian artists and guests from Switzerland, Clotilde Ruegg and Peter Faust, will conduct demonstrations in the art of porcelain painting. Two schools have been planned, with one on board the ship and for the land lovers another in Mandurah following the cruise.

The 620 passenger cruise ship Astor will arrive in to Fremantle (from London Tilbury) on Friday, December 9, 2016 to begin her fourth summer based in Western Australia. She will offer 16 exciting itineraries from WA, before heading to Adelaide, where she will offer three return itineraries from the City of Churches, before heading back to her home in the UK.
Astor has seven passenger decks and boasts three dining options, including a pool deck buffet, the relaxing informal Ubersee Club and the impressive Waldorf Restaurant, which has maintained the time-old tradition of set two-seating dining (when the ship is at capacity).
Passengers can also get active on Astor’s Sports Deck, complete with a volleyball court, half court tennis, jogging track, golf practice facility, big board chess and a gym, complete with running machines and yoga and fitness lessons. Astor boasts two pools; an indoor spa pool, and an outside swimming pool.
The shopping arcade features a boutique, jeweller and perfumery, while the Wellness Centre offers a hairdresser and beauty treatments, fitness and exercise equipment, a sauna and massage facilities.
