The Ascott Limited (Ascott), the world’s largest international serviced residence owner-operator, once again enjoyed success at the 2016 Tourism Accommodation Australia (TAA) (Victoria) Accommodation Awards for Excellence last week, with Citadines on Bourke Melbourne winning Apartment Accommodation of the Year for the third time.
The pre-eminent awards by TAA – a division of the Australian Hotels Association (AHA) – are recognised as the most prestigious hospitality awards, honouring the achievement of excellence in a wide range of categories in the accommodation industry.
Located in the heart of the city, Citadines on Bourke Melbourne consists of vibrant and modern studio, one and two bedroom apartments. Designed for international and domestic travellers on business or leisure, the property offers the privacy of a serviced apartment and the convenience of a hotel.
As well as winning Apartment Accommodation of the Year, Ascott was also named as a finalist in the Sales Employee of the Year category for Julie Avotins from the company’s Australian head office.

Since its opening in July 2010, Citadines on Bourke Melbourne has also won the Silver Award in New Accommodation Development at the National Accommodation Industry Awards for Excellence 2011 and was a finalist at the Victorian Tourism Awards for New Tourism Development the same year.
