The playfully chic modern sweet shop sensation, The BonBonist in Pacific Place, sweetens Chinese New Year with a festive collection of celebratory bonbons designed with flavour and flair. 

Founder Olivia Niddam invites confectionery lovers to discover The BonBonist’s enchanting world this Lunar Year with its classy gift set – “Auspicious Treasure Trove”highlighting four new enticing bonbons, a trendy tote bag and laisee packets.

Highlighting The BonBonist’s Chinese New Year collection is a joyous and celebratory gift box “Auspicious Treasure Trove” (priced HK$628) that will impress and bring joy to all those who set eyes on it.  Featuring a vibrant red colour juxtaposed against a purple background with gold embossed geometric patterns and “Kung Hei Fat Choi”, this is a perfect manifesto of Eastern tradition married with Francophone chic. The red packet symbolises The BonBonist’s exuberant attitude with a geometric and playful dog that celebrates the coming zodiac of the Lunar New Year.

All Lunar Year themed bonbons are also available for purchase individually, priced from HK$48 to HK$68. Customers can opt to create their own special bonbon box with colour stickers and ribbons to add a simply sweet personal touch to gifts.  Order placed between 18 to 25 January 2018  will be treated a delightful discount of 10% off the first box purchased, 15% off when two boxes are purchased; and 20% off when five boxes are purchased.

In celebration of the convivial atmosphere, The BonBonist introduces four new Lunar New Year themed bonbons including two exclusive sweets from “Sparkle and Pop” Bob’s glitzy and glamorous repertoire.  Mandarin Moon (HK$48) is crescent bite-sized gummies emulating the half-moon burst with the tangy, sweet taste of mandarin, a perfect and fabulous sweet to share with friends and family.

A Francophone take on this mandarin gem is found in La Mandarine (HK$68). Embracing Plaisir a la Francaise (“The Pleasure of the French”), this mandarin fruit jelly is cocooned in 70% dark chocolate and white chocolate, blending in with the Oriental pleasures with the sweet, milky delight of French chocolate.

Those who enjoy texture in each bite will definitely love La Guardia (HK$68), a chocolate bonbon made to capture the characteristics of Crunchy Balls” Charlie. Always geared with a surprise up his sleeve, its unassuming demeanour unveils a ball of crunchy cereal coated with gianduja and milk chocolate with a nutty burst of surprise in its centre. Chouchou Amandes (HK$68), a sweet and crispy roasted Provencal almonds coated in cane sugar with a hint of pure Bourbon vanilla is the perfect, playful bonbon for adults who want to indulge in their inner child.

For those looking to discover The BonBonist’s signature selection of designer sweets, Pina Colada Time (HK$48), Little Sunshine (HK$68), Tutti Frutti (HK$48) and LaJoie Doree (HK$68) can be enjoyed in the collection, ensuring to make any party pop with their decadent flavours that is a feast for the mouth as it is for the eyes.

In 2018, The BonBonist will first take part in Harbour City’s Chocolate Trail with a pop-up store that embodies its signature sassy flare from 25 January to 25 February 2018, promises to tantalise candy and chocolate aficionados with its amazing range of sweets and an auspicious Wheel of Fortune.

Opened in October 2017, The BonBonist is located on the second floor of Pacific Place, introducing Hong Kong sweet-lovers to over 70 enticing selections of premium European sweets and chocolates in a delicious, indulgent world where style and sophistication meet quality and imagination.

Its modern interior reflects luxury while remaining homely, inviting and playful, with an inviting big “B” for bonbon display at the entrance to the gallery of sweets.
