The Butchers Club Burger Commences Global Expansion In Bali

sacascThe Butchers Club Burger, widely considered the best burger restaurant in Hong Kong, is gearing up for global expansion, beginning with an opening in Bali.

As the third venue of The Butchers Club’s fast-growing empire, The Butchers Club Burger opened on Landale Street in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, in June of last year. A mere three months later and, due to unyielding popularity and widespread interest from potential overseas investors, The Butchers Club Burger is getting ready for the first of what it hopes to be many international outlets, after signing a five-year lease in the ever-popular area of Seminyak in Bali.

The Bali location, located near the main road Jalan Petitenget, includes a sizeable 1200 square foot interior, a 500 square foot outdoor patio and also has access to a huge car park at the back of the venue. With over two times the space of the Hong Kong branch to play with, The Butchers Club Burger Bali will undoubtedly be the place to go in Bali, as well as a key event space.

“Aside from the fact that it means we now have the perfect holiday destination (which I will definitely be visiting on a regular basis!), we think Bali is the perfect space to launch the first of our international outlets. The market is truly international, filled with holiday-makers, expats and long-staying guests, who we are certain will agree with the foodies of Hong Kong in thinking that ours in the best burger they have ever tasted!” states Jonathan Glover, founder and owner of The Butchers Club.

The Bali restaurant have its own dry-ageing facility off-site, which will ensure the same quality of beef is being served in this new venue. The menu is also match the Hong Kong branch, with only one dry-aged beef burger with maple-glazed bacon and cheddar cheese on the menu, as well as a rotating “secret menu” accessible through a QR code.

The team will continue to open outlets in many international cities. Talks are already under way with Singapore, Dubai, Shanghai and even as far as Sweden.


“We are creating an entire empire,” continues Aarik Persaud, executive chef and co-owner of The Butchers Club. “A burger empire that will continue to grow not only internationally but also in our home of Hong Kong. We aren’t recreating the wheel here; we simply have an awesome product that everyone loves and that will work in whichever city we set it up in. After all, everyone loves burgers, especially when they are made with our organic dry-aged Black Angus beef!”
