From CEOs to self-starters, tech pioneers to thought leaders, The CEO Magazine’s Executive of the Year Awards will see 24 awards given across a number of industries allowing the exceptional contributions made by Australia’s best CEOs and C-suite executives to be rewarded.

Last year, Mark Nielsen, CEO of Talent International, received the top award of CEO of the Year, strongly encourages individuals to apply, noting the benefits winning can have on the company internally and externally, for both individuals and the company as a whole.

“Winning CEO of the Year has had a positive effect on the emerging leaders within Talent. Many told me they were inspired by the award and it made them not only proud to work at Talent, but also that it was something they might aspire towards,” said Nielsen.

Additionally, Nielsen praised the legitimacy of the Awards. “I felt that The CEO Magazine really encouraged authenticity in all its applicants. The judges were exceptional, and they delved below the surface to understand the key differentiators of each candidate. This was so important to me as a champion for equality in work and life,” he said.

Colleen Callander, CEO of Sportsgirl, echoed this sentiment and the credibility of the Awards. “I am so excited and feel extremely privileged to be a judge for The CEO Magazine’s Executive of the Year Awards. I have been on both sides of the Awards – as a judge in 2012 and a finalist in 2014, where I was honoured to win Highly Commended CEO of the Year Award.

“It is incredible to see so many passionate people coming together to acknowledge and celebrate individual achievements from so many different industries. Each year the Awards gets bigger and better and I cannot wait to see what this year’s talent has to offer,” said Callander.

Callander and Nielsen are two of the 14 members of the highly regarded business professionals that have been selected for The CEO Magazine’s 2019 Executive of the Year Awards judging panel.

The 2019 judges will determine the recipients across 24 various categories comprising of industry awards, recognition awards, job-specific awards, and one major award. The categories include:
