“The French Connection” Festival Gastronomique 2015

After being the pioneer of Guest Chef events in the last few years in Bali hosting international chefs from all over the world in his two Bali based venues, celebrity Masterchef Chris Salans is now proud to bring to Indonesia, in June 2015, the very first “The French Connection – Festival Gastronomique”, an exciting four-day culinary extravaganza of cooking master classes, workshops, dinners and food centered events.


This first-of-its-kind in Indonesia event will bring together celebrity chefs from everywhere in the world to celebrate the best of French gourmet food in Bali and showcase current international trends in cuisine to Indonesia.

The 4 day long “The French Connection – Festival Gastronomique” will be hosted for this inaugural year by Mozaic Restaurant Gastronomique in Ubud and Mozaic Beachclub in Seminyak.

This year the festival will be offering 4 different events to cover all the aspects of modern gastronomy:

  • 19 June – A 4 hands Intimate Dinner, Hosted in the state of the art Miele Workshop in Mozaic Restaurant in Ubud, the dinner is not only a unique opportunity to taste an amazing array of culinary delicacies, but will also give its participants the opportunity of witnessing live the preparation of each dish in the open Miele kitchen. Pick up tips and tricks to bring back home whilst interacting with both chefs while they are cooking and hear them share the “secrets of the trade”. The dinner will be paired with fine French wines to make the whole experience an unforgettable memory. Price per person: Rp. 2.000.000 ++ (Incl. Wine Pairing)
  • 20 June – Cook Like a Master, Hosted in the Kitchen of Mozaic Beachclub in BatuBelig, Cook Like a Master is a cooking class for amateur chefs & food lovers with celebrity Chef Alain Caron Rp. 950.000 ++ (Incl. Lunch with the Chef)Booking Essential – Limited Seats 
  • 20 June – A 4 Chefs collaboration Dinner Party, at Mozaic Brasserie, in Mozaic Beachclub. Four French chefs (Jacques Pourcel, Alain Caron, Gilles Marx and Chris Salans), one passion, one great venue! Starting at 6 PM with sunset canapés and drinks, the dinner will take place in the Mozaic Brasserie and it will be a unique collaboration among all the participating chefs, full of surprises for your palate. The evening will continue after dinner in our lounge with an amazing show from Jim Larkin and his band followed by our own DJ Ari till late night.

Price per person: Rp. 1.300.000 ++ (Incl. Sunset & After Dinner Drinks).

  • 21 June – LIQUID Pool Party, at Mozaic Beachclub, with gourmet cocktails and tapas from our guest chefs as well as a fully featured bikini pool party with international DJs to close the festival in style. First Drink Cover Rp. 150.000 Nett.
