The Ghosts of Gledswood Tour – August 26, 2017

August 12, 2017 Destination Global No Comments Email Email

A special, spooky tour of the 207-year old Gledswood Homestead will take place on August 26, 2017, giving brave souls the opportunity to explore the haunted site by torchlight, listen to tales of a bygone era and perhaps spot some of the spirits that still wander the grounds today.

Located in the historic Macarthur region, the picturesque Gledswood Homestead and Winery is a popular spot for weddings and other functions. The homestead was built in 1829 by convicts and sits amongst 64 hectares of rolling Macarthur countryside, less than 60 minutes from the Sydney CBD. The property boasts magnificent colonial buildings, lush gardens and its own winery and cellar door.

The new Ghosts of Gledswood tour aims to give a unique insight into the colonial homestead’s colourful history, incorporating tales of the supernatural as guests journey around the property which is said to be frequented by ghosts and ghouls. Guests are encouraged to bring cameras, voice recorders and a torch and wear warm clothes and sturdy shoes. There is no age limit for the tour.

Tickets cost $65 per person and include hot and cold canapes at the convict built cellar door, drinks on arrival and the ghost tour. Advance bookings are required.
