Spread the love

The inaugural ‘Great Australian Travel Survey’ was launched on Monday 4th March 2019 by Fast Cover Travel Insurance’s CEO Dean Van Es.http://www.stevecafeandcuisine.com/

“We’re very excited to launch this initiative to gain a snapshot of Australian travellers in 2019. We all know Aussies love to travel and we’re particularly interested in how Australians travel. Travel insurance is a small but important part of everything that goes into an overseas trip. “We want to understand as much as we can about Aussie travellers so we can help keep them safe on their holidays,” said Mr Van Es.

The increasing trend of Australians travelling overseas continues. There were 10.5 million international trips made by Australians in 2017, which was up 6.2% on 2016* and similar numbers are expected for 2018.

The survey explores accommodation, flights, bucket lists, finance, travel insurance, activities, travel frequency, and more to give a complete picture of how we travel.

“I think people will enjoy the survey as we’re such a passionate travelling nation and there’s also a few fun questions in there about common travel gripes like a snorer on the plane,” said Van Es.

The results will be shared with the entire industry including media, Smartraveller, travel industry bodies and travel bloggers to help us all provide a safer, better and more helpful service to all Australian travellers.

“We’re very excited to see the results of the survey. When we compare the survey results over the coming years, we will start to see an interesting pattern, especially with the changes and trends as technology advances and the world becomes a much smaller place.”

The survey can be completed online and the results will be published later in the year in conjunction with the newly launched Travel Insurance Awareness Week.

Anyone who completes the survey has the chance to go into the draw to win a Travel Pack valued at over $1000^. The travel pack includes a Samsonite Suitcase, Beats Headphones, Packing Cubes and a Universal Power adaptor.
