Spread the love

Since the launch of The Great Delta Give-Back in April, Delta employees have dedicated the equivalent of four years in volunteer hours through serving communities across the globe.

The Great Delta Give-Back was announced earlier this year as a new way for employees to give back and continue Delta’s mission of connecting people and changing the world for the better. With this initiative, Delta is giving its employees a paid day off to volunteer at charitable organizations worldwide.

As the company reflects on the first half of the year, Delta employees and workgroups have made significant impacts through their days of service:

  • Over 1,300 employees have already volunteered.
  • Delta people have served in over 600 communities across the world.
  • We’ve made a difference through over 13,000 hours dedicated to volunteering.

Throughout the year, Delta people have been coming together to serve over 350 organizations, including American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Junior Achievement, United Way, and many more.

When customers choose Delta, they make a difference in communities around the world. In 2018, Delta and The Delta Air Lines Foundation contributed over $50 million through the airline’s commitment to give one percentof its net profits to key charitable organizations. Delta employees actively volunteer their time and talents in addition to an annual paid day of service, which puts over 640,000 additional volunteer hours into communities across the globe. The airline focuses on key areas such as education, health and wellness, military and veterans, sustainability and diversity and inclusion.
