The Henry Jones Art Hotel in Hobart has announced the launch of the ‘Back Streets and Hidden Eats’ tour. It’s no secret that Tasmania boasts an enviable reputation for producing some of the best food and wine in the country. A veritable culinary experience, the ‘Back Streets & Hidden Eats’ tour takes you on a journey to uncover the very best hidden gems that the city of Hobart has to offer.

Sure to excite even the most discerning food lover, the tour invites you to ‘eat and drink like a local’ while exploring the stories of early Hobart Town with the Henry Jones Art Hotel History Liaison. The ‘Back Streets & Hidden Eats’ tour winds its way around Hobart’s beautiful CBD area, stopping for treats from eateries that are off the beaten tourist track, but among the locals’ favourites.

Along the way, learn about the people who lived and worked in heritage-listed buildings, and admire 19th and early 20th century architecture. Included in the tour is morning tea, coffee, lunch and a local beer or wine.

Tours run on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10am, and can be organized directly through the hotel by calling 03 6210 7700.
