The Hôtel Plaza Athénée will reveal its new self soon, embellished and larger.

With the acquisition of three adjoining buildings, the Hôtel Plaza Athénée has increased its total surface area by nearly 5,000 square metres over the last few months.

The new spaces are situated in the building at 21 Avenue Montaigne that houses the Relais Plaza, in the town house in which the Harry Winston boutique is located, and in another town house, rue Clément Marot.

This extension has provided an opportunity for the luxury hotel on Avenue Montaigne not only to create new spaces, but also to embellish and breathe a new spirit into its existing amenities.

The hotel will officially unveil its new decor on September 1st.

Located on the most elegant avenue in Paris, it was quite naturally that the Hôtel Plaza Athénée chose to work with skilled craftsmen and French firms of the highest repute.

In the “historical” part of the hotel, the lobby has been entirely rethought, the Gallery extended and redecorated…  The Garden Courtyard has been re-organised, the bar entirely redesigned in an infinitely deep blue. The ‘Dior institut’ will reveal its new care salon dedicated to the beauty of our guests’ feet and hands…

Six new rooms and suites have been created above the Harry Winston boutique, with a magnificent ceiling height of three and a half metres.  All in all, no less than fourteen new rooms and suites are going to see the light of day – eight of which are situated at 21 Avenue Montaigne – bringing the hotel’s total number of rooms up to 208.

For his restaurant, Alain Ducasse will provide a new, highly personal, expression of contemporary French cuisine in a brand new decor signed Agence Jouin-Manku. Lastly, you will be able to discover the Relais Plaza with its “Parisian Brasserie” spirit preserved, and a modern touch to top it all. And still in charge of this emblematic place, Werner Küchler, the restaurant’s director, and his team.

It is also at this time that the three new private lounge areas will be inaugurated, including the Haute Couture salon and its lovely volumes and majestic chandeliers.

Our guests will recognise all the personalities who run the hotel (despite its closure, the Plaza Athénée wanted to keep all of its staff in order to preserve the special ties that the guests have always appreciated so much!), the smiles, the attention they lavish on them and the quality of service they have always been used to.
