The InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort Wins Four Awards Including Best New Arrival Luxury Hotel In Lijiang
InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort has just been honored with four awards including Hurun Report’s “Best New Arrival Luxury hotel in Lijiang” , “Best New Hotel” by Vantage, China BT Mice “New Conference Hotel”, and “Best Conference Resort Hotel of the Year 2014-2015” by MICE.
The InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort formally opened its doors in February 2015. The strategically positioned design-inspired hotel celebrates the finest of the traditions of China and South-East Asia whilst providing modern, well-appointed facilities.
Ernst Mayer, General Manager: “The InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort is perfect for the world travelers of today who share a passion for travel and seek out authentic experiences whilst appreciating refinement. We are also delighted to be recognized for our world-class conference facilities, which are key to securing the best results for businesses meeting here.”
The InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort nestles beside Lijiang Ancient Town, a World Cultural Heritage site. With 274 rooms including 12 suites inspired by designs from the Naxi Dongba ethnic traditions, the rooms are spread across a sub-tropical garden covering 51,000 square meters.
As the newest member of InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, the rebranded InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort offers a rich garden environment landscaped around local fishing and living traditions and tasteful architecture in keeping with Lijiang-style. Inside the hotel, local Naxi Dongba motifs and symbols are creatively applied and fused whether for sculptures, Chinese courtyards or general design. Cuisine ranges from the Seven Colors Chinese Restaurant, Basil Leaf’s international menu including South-East Asian and Western dishes, barbeques of local-style dishes to simply sipping pu’er tea in the Green Tea Lounge. The result is an environment of understatement – discreet, welcoming service and symbolic gestures which ensure guests are truly looked after, whether travelling for business or leisure.
