Resort representation company, World Resorts of Distinction (WRD), is thrilled to confirm that multi-award winning Qamea Resort and Spa will remain open for 2020.

WRD CEO, Tess Willcox, said the popular adults-only resort in Fiji recently welcomed a new general manager and owners, who have collectively attested they will not be closing the resort or making any immediate changes, and are eagerly taking bookings for 2020.

“As is the case when there are changes of management at any resort, there has been speculation about the future of Qamea Resort & Spa,” she said.

“We can happily confirm the much-loved property will be remaining open and guests will be welcomed by the same Fijian family that have adorned the shores of Qamea for years, with nothing but love and a big Bula welcome. There will be some immediate upgrades to our Bures and central areas, but nothing that will affect guests’ experience.”

Recognised as one of the leading boutique resorts in Fiji, Qamea Resort & Spa continues to set new benchmarks in affordable luxury, adding the following 2019 accolades to their impressive stable of awards:

  • Experts’ Choice Award
  • Travel Myth Awards: Top 10 Hotels in Fiji

Qamea Resort and Spa is an intimate boutique resort catering to a maximum of 32 adults with only sixteen luxuriously appointed and air conditioned Bures and exquisite Royal Beach Houses with private pools, nestled among swaying coconut palms and verdant tropical gardens. It is the only resort on Qamea Island, set amidst 100 acres of lush tropical landscaped gardens, bushland, and jagged volcanic South Pacific mountains that soar behind the property. The entire resort fronts onto a private white sand beach over a kilometre in length, and is known as the most spectacular in Fiji’s northern island group.
