The InterContinental Wellington multimillion dollar refurbishment is complete with its state-of-the-art meeting rooms revealed to be the most technologically-advanced conference spaces in Wellington, New Zealand.
Designed to enhance any event, the exceptional facilities now also include interactive whiteboards whereby presenters can wirelessly connect via iOS and Android devices. Disappearing projector screens and data projectors enable the same space to be utilised for both business and social parts of the day.
Each of the six meeting rooms (the largest with a capacity of 250 seated people) has a wall-mounted touch-screen control panel for lighting, sound and visuals, and the contemporary sleek design is supported by the onsite business centre professionals, in place to guarantee everything is seamless, stress-free and on point.
New conference menus have also been developed to allow for individuality, broader dietary requirements, and shifts in when and how people wish to meet (for example, breakfast meetings are on the rise).
The upgrade of the conference floor has been the final stage of a two-year refurbishment project that has transformed the iconic luxury hotel sweeping change through the Club InterContinental Lounge, the Club InterContinental guest rooms, Chameleon Restaurant, The Lobby Lounge and the reception arrival experience as well as a newly defined Deluxe Guest Room category.
The overall aim is to offer an even greater sense of luxury with additional comfort features for guests with easy access to the highly personalised InterContinental service.
Director of Sales and Marketing Geoff Naumann says the response to the massive makeover has been “hugely positive”.
“We’re very happy, humbled and graciously appreciative that what we have done is now creating even higher guest satisfaction and a return on the considerable investment.”
