The Legendary Pacific Coast Top Of The Popularity Stakes With International Travel Buyers At The Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) In Cairns

The overwhelming success of a Legendary Pacific Coast holiday campaign with Singaporean airline, SCOOT, has rocketed this leading tourism drive from Sydney to Brisbane into star status at the Australian Tourism Exchange (click here) in Cairns this week.

The SCOOT campaign last month blitzed its projected sales to Singaporean visitors flying into Sydney or the Gold Coast and then driving The Legendary Pacific Coast (click here). The week long campaign projected 1000 airline seats sold and finally peaked at 1850, according to the Legendary Pacific Coast International Specialist, Russell Mills.Russell and Nicole with Asian Client

Mr Mills with the North Coast Destination Network Executive Officer, Belinda Novicky is in Cairns this week selling The Legendary Pacific Coast at Australia’s largest travel industry show. They are joined by other LPC destinations – Byron Shire, Newcastle & The Hunter, Lake Macquarie, Greater Port Macquarie, Coffs Coast, Port Stephens, Destination Tweed, Southern Gold Coast  and the Central Coast.

“The SCOOT success has lifted the profile and created a buzz around the drive and our partner destinations from the Central Coast to the Southern Gold Coast.” said Mr Mills.

“Tourism Australia and Destination NSW are also driving promotion of The Legendary Pacific Coast as an accessible year round, self-drive experience in Australia for both domestic and international markets.

“We anticipate significant business to be generated through over 250 appointments with overseas travel wholesalers from all priority markets,“ said Mills. “We’ve generated lots of follow-up and secured inclusion in several self-drive programs.

“This is a great indicator for continued growth of international visitors to our region.”

Ms Novicky attributed The Legendary Pacific Coast’s success in Singapore to Mr Mill’s ongoing representations in a highly competitive market, support from Destination NSW, Tourism Australia, key distribution partners, the route’s easy accessibility to both Sydney and the Gold Coast international airports, and the Singaporean market’s maturity embracing and seeking  independent, self-drive holiday options.
