The Luxury Collection® Hotels & Resorts To Debut In Changsha

The graceful landmark, invested by China Jinmao Holding Group Limited, designed by Callison RTKL and offering 310 spacious guest rooms — including 6 suites and an expansive 270-square-meter Presidential Suite – is scheduled to open September 28, 2016.

Tao Yuanming’s famous poem “Journey to the Immortal of Peach Garden” is the inspiration for the hotel’s design.  The Luxury Collection Hotel, Changsha takes guests on a journey from a lost paradise to a quiet urban oasis, capturing elements of Changsha’s glorious past, present and future.

All rooms and suites will offer breathtaking views of the city, the Meixi Lake and the stunning Meixi Lake International Cultural and Arts Center, a masterpiece by renowned architect Zaha Hadid. The hotel sits in the Meixi Lake International New Town, a key component of the national Xiangjiang New Zone, completes with high-end residences and a full range of educational, cultural, and urban life infrastructures. The town also boasts a communication R&D center with heavy investment and an international health industrial park, setting a solid foundation for the region’s future growth. The Luxury Collection Hotel, Changsha, is the first luxury international brand in the city, and will present one-of-a-kind experiences through the Luxury Collection’s Golden Thread Concierge Services.  A hallmark of the brand, the bespoke offering unlocks the cultural, historic and natural treasures of the region, including experiences such as a visit the all-female embroiderers who create exquisite Hunan Embroidery; pottery glazing in the Tungguan Kiln; participation as a player in the Hunan Huaju Drama or in a local television program.

The Luxury Collection Hotel, Changsha, is certain to be a culinary destination with four dining venues that cater to a broad range of tastes.  The Lobby Bar on the first level will be a lively gathering place with a selection of signature cocktails, authentic teas as well as English afternoon tea service.  The Field is the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant on the first level.  Inspired by Meixi Lake, The Field features a menu of local cuisine infused with international flavors and dishes which can be enjoyed while sitting indoor or outdoor, both options offering fantastic views of the lake.  The Field will also feature a deli and bakery with daily specials and to-go items.  Chic and Twist, a new concept for Changsha, is a stylish diner, bar and nightclub that will serve western steaks and sides along with cocktails.  Following dinner service, guests can enjoy live and DJ music for late night dancing and socializing.  The Peach Garden is The Luxury Collection Hotel, Changsha’s signature Chinese restaurant that will bring to life the Journey to the Immortal of Peach Garden.  Located on the second level, The Peach Garden features authentic Hunan cuisine with additional Cantonese dishes, each created with farm-fresh ingredients and indigenous flavors.  The Peach Garden also offers 13 private dining rooms for small and large groups.
