The MEAT, steakhouse and specialty grill at The Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai, committed to ensuring high satisfaction in dining atmosphere, has been selected by the MICHELIN Guide Shanghai 2018 consecutively for the 2nd year.

 The MICHELIN Guide inspectors described the restaurant as an attractive, masculine room decorated with ox horns. In addition, they specially mentioned the restaurant’s signature dish, Nigaloo Tomahawk – 1.8 kilograms of prime rib good for four people and carved at the guests’ table. What’s more, The MEAT has been rated as the only “Three Spoon and Fork” steakhouse in Shanghai, indicating a very comfortable dining experience and service.
Recently, The MEAT launches a brand-new menu offering the famous Creekstone USDA prime New York strip loin from Kansas, United States, and the very rare and precious Jilin black cattle sirloin A5 from Changbai Mountain, China, and many more exciting dishes.
 
The Creekstone USDA prime New York strip loin is known as the finest black Angus beef from Kansas.  As a USDA prime certified beef, it has the highest degree of fat marbling with an amazing tenderness, juiciness and fine texture achieved through exceptional cattle management practices, carefully controlled high-quality feeding and state-of-the-art processing.  The fresh chilled beef is transported to Shanghai and arrives at The MEAT kitchen without being frozen, retaining all its texture, the original flavours and nutrition for guests to savour.
The Jilin black cattle sirloin A5 is a premier cut with a 10-12 marbling score, the highest score.  The Jilin black cattle from Changbai Mountain, China, is raised in an organic and eco-friendly environment.  The cattle drink pure, pollution-free water sourced from Tianchi Lake (known as Heaven Lake) and the beef is so precious and full of bold flavours that The MEAT’s chefs can simply use their simple, yet classic cherrywood smoking oven to cook it to perfection.  The meat has a wonderful tender texture that literally melts in the mouth.
 In addition to the signature prime steaks, The MEAT will spoil diners with a series of new light appetisers, seafood dishes, soups and desserts, which include Crispy Almond King Prawn, Char-Grilled Octopus, Soft-Boiled Eggs Caesar Salad, Crispy Duck and Orange Salad, Caviar and Crispy Duck, Crab Napoleon, Cep Mushroom Cappuccino, Tiramisu Sphere, Peanut Butter Profiterole, and Almond and Bird Nest Soup.
